I had booked this trip for my boyfriend’s birthday as it had the facilities we needed. I had emailed the hotel prior, to organise some extras (balloons and Prosecco) for our room upon arrival and they did not disappoint. It was a lovely start to our trip. The hotel is 5mins walk to the tram stop and about 10mins ride on the tram to the centre, also 10mins ride on the ns sprinter from Schiphol airport. Our room was on the 10th floor, which is the same floor as the skybar. We had a lovely massage, but unfortunately couldn’t use the pool as they had to do some maintenance. Overall, we are happy with our stay and it was a fantastic weekend. The staff were accommodating, kind and the hotel is lovely, clean and in a good location.

So, I stayed here just recently and it was such a lovely hotel. Staff where very friendly on arrival and we got checked in early - which was a relief as we had an early flight and we where quite tired! They took a 100 euro deposit - just incase you get any drinks or food and they can deduct it at the end but you could get it back if you don’t use it, etc. The hotel is quite safe, you need the key card for your room to pass through the corridor door - which I thought was good! Lovely coffee machine in the room and ice machines on various floors. The room itself was really big and spacious! Loved the big bath tub! Beds where comfy, the pillows especially! Heaven! The only issue I had was, the room did smell - coming from the bathroom I assume, but other than that, everything was great. Fab view too. Heating in the room - love. There was a really helpful, lovely lady on reception (I get the impression she was high up, maybe a manger - sadly didn’t catch her name) but she was so helpful, she helped us get around Amsterdam and showed up everywhere on the maps, even showed us which tram to get and gave us tram tickets to use for the 3 day stay (23 euros each) and you can use it as many times as you like and you can use the metro. So, this made us feel better about finding our bearings. Very thankful to this lady for her help. As for the tram, the stop is 5 mins down the road and you can the number 17 to centraal, takes about 20 mins, which is quite enjoyed. The tram was therapeutic! We just put on our maps on our phones and it told you which stop you needed to get off at or how many stops until you got off and you could keep count. I can’t comment on the food as we never ate at the hotel, but the sky bar was fab! Looked amazing and the drinks where really nice. I loved the drink ‘French 75’ very delicious. The spa/pool area was so relaxing! We instantly felt so relaxed as soon as we went in as it was so warm and we could relax on the loungers and have a swim. You could even get a little drink, so a Prosecco went down well as I was having a lie down on the lounger. The lady at the spa reception was very kind and she provided us with robes and showed us where to change, etc. I don’t think I missed anything! But all in all, we had a really nice stay. I was worried it would be too far out the centre but with the tram being so close, comes every 10 mins - it was fine! I’m glad I chose to stay here. Excellent hotel, very modern. I will definitely be back next time I come to Amsterdam! Thank you for a brilliant stay :)

Hotel itself was lovely, lovely size and rooms, however a complete breach of privacy as housekeeping just opened our door when we were in the room and said no thank you when shouted once! Just opened the room door anyway with their key and said they had to put a pillow in the cupboard,l. This then happened a second time when my partner was in the shower- housekeeping just walked in the room! Disgusting and we were then worried the whole time to get changed etc incase they just walked in again. Ruined our stay
