Welcome to The Washington Mayfair Hotel, London a distinguished hotel with a history dating back to 1913. Its Art Deco origins can be clearly seen in the exquisite and understated bas relief features on the exterior. However in the years since it opened, frequent renovation, new design touches and extensive modernisation have made this hotel a favourite for the many visitors who call this their business base and home away from home. Check into The Washington Mayfair Hotel and you will be staying in one of London’s finest locations, Curzon Street, tucked into the heart of Mayfair a few minutes from Park Lane and offering a perfect alternative to the famous 5 star Park Lane Hotels.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. The interior is dated but you can tell it would have been grand back in its day. The room was a really good size but the bathroom very basic and worn. Breakfast was OK, but it was a surprise to find you have to pay extra for a coffee from a machine (cappuccino/latte). Great location, 10 minute walk from Green Park.
My son and I stayed here on a recent trip to London. We chose this place because they had air conditioning. The hotel is in a high end neighbour hood. The room was much larger then what we had elsewhere during our time in Europe. Do not get laundry done on-site. The cost is outrageous. There is a tube station nearby and Buckingham Palace is about a ten minute walk through the park. Location was decent and everything we needed was in the area.
DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL Booked this hotel due to proximity to office. Upon arrival were told that they have overbooked by 10 rooms and we were being sent to another hotel in Chelsea around 15 minutes DRIVE away. Not really apologetic about it. When I told the individual on the front desk that it really wasnt acceptable he told me 'what do you want me to do about it. I dont have any rooms for you' and proceeded to tell me that I was lucky that they didnt cancel the booking all together! Anyway into a cab to somewhere else where we were told they only had a twin room and we should have been told. Not like we we were given any option! After a quick chat we did manage to get a double room. - Overpriced - Underwhelming - Poor service - Just all together horrible experience. Cant imagine how you would deal with it after coming in of a flight or for a longer stay.
