We have went to Waldorf Astoria to celebrate my wife’s achievement at work. The hotel was amazing, they upgraded our room and arranged the room amazingly, not only that but we got complimentary sweets as Waldorf Astoria’s way of Celebrating with us!! Definitely worth the stay and I recommend everyone to stay at this amazing hotel.

We had an excellent time and stay! We are from the US. Euphy was an amazing room attendant and she has the best service and attitude. She truly made our experience worth it. The food was excellent and the property was amazing.

Stayed 7 nights at the hotel earlier in the week in a mix of personal and business. On such a long stay had the chance to use almost all the hotel facilities like restaurant, room service, pool, pool bar, gym...and everything was absolutely top-notch !!!! You really feel very well treated and that staff cares about clients. Room is great, new, spotless clean, very well equipped, excellent wi-fi, very comfortable bed, excellent amenities. I really had everything I needed during my stay. Attention to small but very important details is what makes a real difference and things like welcome amenities sent to my room or phone calls from their Guest Relations Department made me feel extremely valued. I would say that I had an amazing time. Literally a PERFECT stay....until I had to check out. On Thursday evening when checking out I did ask the person at the front desk to split my bill in 2 bills....first 2 days were personal and the other 5 days business. So in needed/wanted to pay with different cards. This is an absolute basic and usual request that business travellers make. The person at the front desk started to do it, then struggled, then I had to repeat my ask, and then after 10 mins he said that it was going to take a lot of time!!!!!!. So I told him that we were going to do it differently: keep everything on one bill, and I pay part of it (first 2 days) on one card, and the rest on another one. I made him crystal-clear which card to use for which payment. First, when he told me the amount of my first 2 nights, it was wrong.....I knew from the top of my head how much it was, so asked him to calculate again, and then to make things even worse he charged all my personal expenses to my Corporate Card....what was exactly what I told him I didn't want to do. I asked him to call someone who could help. Someone came, needed to go to some office to reverse the charges on my credit cards and then started the entire process again. In summary, it took me 40 MINUTES to check out. Luckily I had time, otherwise I could have missed a flight. By the way....I'm really sceptic on whether finally things were processed on the way I needed. Will discover it once my Assistant reviews my card statements. Something which should have been extremely simple and straight forward turned into a huge frustration for me. Constructive advice to management: reinforce training to front desk staff about this. As can be seen on my profile I'm an extensive traveller, stay in top 5* hotels all over the world, really appreciate good service and attention, but have a strong view that small things make a difference. In this sense, my check out experience prevents me of giving the hotel the highest score. I will definitely return, hotel is great, but as said checkout process has some room for improvement.
