W South Beach

the pool manager was very very rude she had an attitude as well as bad looks, we asked her if we could have some new towels and a waiter as we had seen no one around but instead her response was hesitant and unprofessional, very mismanaged and incompetent. this was very upsetting for me and my family and it was just overall a rlly terrible experience in the pool especially when i paid for such a well talked facility and “professional”

Hotel is gorgeous, location is ideal if you want beach, and service was impeccable. I’ve stayed at a dozen hotels in Miami Beach but never the W South Beach, and I will never stay at another hotel! We arrived early and our room was not ready yet so they gave us access to a lounge (a stunning 2 bedroom suite), with champagne and cheese for guests. They also gave us access to a different room set up for changing and showering, as well as snacks and water. Lobby is sleek and elegant. Pool area is beautiful and like a relaxing oasis - no deafening club music. Great for families but not overrun with screaming children either. Pool is warm and wonderful. The location of this hotel is perfect. The beach is steps away and had no red tide (I’ve had problems further north). Easy to access neighboring restaurants and a quick drive to most of Miami Beach and other neighborhoods. They also offer a complimentary shuttle. Our premium studio king suite room was on the 9th floor, had incredible ocean and beach views and was beautifully furnished and immaculate. The floor to ceiling sliding doors opened to the balcony - we could have stayed all day just relaxing and staring at the ocean. Note - there was required construction to the facade which was noisy on one side of rooms. If it is still in progress, ask for a room on the north side, ending in 10 to 30. We were not able to use fitness classes or the gym but plenty on offer for a longer visit. Lastly, the service was outstanding. Everyone from the valet to the lobby check in, the concierge (super responsive by text for any question or need), the service (I called for help with the TV and had someone helping me within 3 minutes), the beach staff, etc. Rita (in management) was especially accommodating and went out of her way to ensure we were taken care of. This hotel is superb - whether you’re there with a group, your family, or your partner, I can’t think of a better place while you’re in Miami.

We had booked a “wonderful studio” but they happily upgraded us to a “fabulous studio”, despite it being a busy holiday weekend. And what a room! Mind blowing. 600 square feet of luxury! Positives - large balcony with an expansive ocean front view - large sitting area and comfortable couch - I slept happily on the couch - kitchen area with a stove and microwave - deep hot tub in the bathroom - easy to sit in. Not a jacuzzi though. - amazingly responsive service - right on south beach with free deck chairs - nice food at the restaurants and not too pricey Negatives - the angle of the TV in the room was weird. Can’t think of anything else. Amazing hotel. Don’t think twice. Book it. Pay up for an ocean front room - well worth it.
