Extremely dirty, furniture falling apart, they only paint the places than can be seen walking around. Indoor pool is filthy. Bathrooms smell of sewerage. Fridges smell too. So, so terrible. Please don’t go, it’s not what is advertised- we had to leave and change hotels.

Location good.There is good childrens playground. Breackfast very bad,every day one menu no any differents,coffe very bad,and if I wanted drink a tee,hot water comes from machine with coffee (( Apartments was 3of5 Uncomfortable kitchen,the sink is located too in the corner,it was impossible to wash the dishes.And old rusty refrigerator,looks not for four stars. We were with a child and it was good that a partition was installed on the stairs.

This hotel is absolutely nowhere near a 4 star. I would rate it as 3 star at best. The site and grounds and gardens are extremely well kept however the apartment is no where near a 4 star rating. The apartment it extremely dated, and in need of refurbishing. The fixtures and fittings are extremely cheap and basic. The sofa in the lounge which can be turned into a sofa bed is 'extremely' 'extremely' uncomfortable when used to watch tv and has a few marks on it and the fabric smells really musty. There are 3 pictures in the lounge 2 of which the colours are faded and look extremely lacking in oomph. The whole apartment has an awful musty foisty smell which has transferred onto all our clothing that we brought with us, I keep washing them in the washing machine and added fabric softener for the fragrance however once they dry and are hung up in the wardrobe the smell is back on the clothing. We booked a double room however there were 2 single beds pushed together, the beds are certainly by no means of a 4 star standard, they are lightweight and cheap and not a 4 star experience, not what I would expect or have experienced in other 4 star hotels. The sheets are cheap quality and although laundered some have had small stains on them which has obviously not been completely washed out when laundered. The linen is not of a 4 star standard. The cushions on the sofa are cheap old and grotty. There is a wardrobe in the lounge which is an old 80's style sliding doors, which do not slide correctly and continually get stuck and having to force them to open. The housekeeping ladies visit EVERY 'OTHER' DAY, rather than the usual 'every day' that is standard in most other 4 star hotels, which is ok by me as it is saving the planet, however I am not sure this would suit everyone. The tv in the lounge is terrestrial so very few channels which is ok for me however not sure that would be usual for a 4 star. The remote did not have any batteries in when we arrived my husband reported this at reception however no one came with the batteries so we had to go to the local shop to buy some. The tv in the bedroom does not work at all and would not come on at all. There is only one remote for the air conditioning for the upstairs and the downstairs so you have to take it with you to whichever room you are in. The bathrooms are in need of updating there are cracked tiles and the grout and tiles and needs a good scrub as they have a build up of limescale and black mould. The shower is not particularly powerful. The toilet seat in the bathroom is not fitted correctly meaning it is not parallel with the base of the toilet. In my view the worst issue with the apartment is that the electric hob and kitchen sink are positioned directly next to each other, which has posed a big problem. The sink is in the corner of the bench and at only 5ft in height it is a struggle for me to wash the dishes, however more to the point this is an extremely dangerous health and safety issue. There is no draining board attached to the sink and the water from the washed dishes can easily leak towards the electric hob. Also while washing the dishes one day as I was leaning over to reach into the sink to wash the dishes I accidentally leant on the hob and it turned on. I really do not think this would be allowed in the uk as it would be deemed a health and safety risk. The stairs from the upstairs lounge down to the bedroom downstairs are very dangerous there is no hand rail at the top and corner however there is a rail all the way down the side of the staircase, however the turn at the top need to have a rail all the way to the top. Now to the good points of the apartment, there are 2 terraces one on the top floor leading off the lounge which is great and has 2 sun loungers and a table and parasol and 3 chairs, this is a great point to the apartment and affords complete privacy when the sun is out, I loved this about the apartment. The downstairs bedroom also had a terrace, however it was a shame it couldn't be used as there were no chairs on this terrace, so really wasted, would have been lovely having a cuppa or breakfast straight out from the bedroom. There was also a terrace at the front door with tiled benched seating fitted in to the design, handy if you are locked out which I was one day and sat down while my husband popped up to reception ! The apartment is a nice size for 2 people. There a 2 supermarkets within short walking distance 5-10 mins not far at all. There is one restaurant next to the supermarket and we noticed a few more that were not yet open as it is March and out of season. We often went to Elviria which is a 5 minute drive where there are an abundance of excellent restaurants. Cabopino is a short 10 min drive. Marbella is a 15 minute drive, so this is a good location although I would recommend a car, unless you are happy to stay on the site, there is a bus stop nearby.
