This is one of these welcoming hotels that makes you relax as soon as you walk through the door into that wonderful atrium. Checkin which we had pre arranged with the excellent Horvas Balthaz, a welcome drink, and a familiar gaze over the main bar into the oasis of that centrepiece of the hotel, we were back to just enjoy a peaceful time. Yes it was busier during the second week when the school holiday families arrived, must remember to bodyswerve that next time, but even then the staff were smiling, attentive and looking after us. We retreated to a private place in the sun and switched off. The main evening entertainment at La Plancita was as good as ever it the piano bar was not as good, though I think that was just us, as it seemed busier than normal. Kensei is a must visit for some luxurious Japanese food and Sua is very good too. Room service, our daily maid and bar staff couldn’t be faulted. Thank you and looking forward to our next visit.

Hotel is a little tired. Rooms are on the small side. Great selection of restaurants and breakfast is excellent. Gym is small. Not much to do for kids. Please don't eat the small jars of nuts/ sweets in the room, they cost 9.50 euro each and our kids assumed they were free. 17 jars later and we found the cost tucked away on a mini bar menu. Managed to get 50% off at checkout but still left a sour taste. Would say this is a 4* hotel that needs renovating.
