I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a luxury relaxing stay. It’s a perfect place for family and couples. The hotel itself is beautifully curated and the staff are so friendly and helpful, the service was consistently amazing. Ana (I hope I’ve spelt that correctly) was a hostess in the restaurant and she is the warmest, sweetest, genuine person. The quality of the food was amazing, and the evening buffet options changed every night. The drinks and food around the pool are ordered through an app, which was so easy to use. The room is one of the most aesthetic rooms I’ve stayed in, designed to a beautiful standard. I experienced the spa during my stay and booked in for a massage, the menu catered for everyone and I had a really nice experience. Thank you Royal Senses, I loved every part of my stay.

Pools Great kids pool with slides, My kids 3 & 5 loved this area! Main pool was very busy in August. Location This was a big disappointment for us. You cannot walk anywhere from the hotel (unless you walk along a very busy road with no pavement). You can get a taxi to nearest village which did have a few restaurants and tavernas, we went once but there wasn’t much there. Beach To get to the beach there is a shuttle bus which takes you to the sister hotel. Although efficient this is just a hassle with children. The beach area itself was good, shallow entry so perfect for children to play. There is a beach bar for drinks and snacks although limited selection. Kids club Great kids club, probably more suited to younger children. My 3 & 5 year old who usually enjoy kids clubs reluctantly went as I think it was a little quiet for them. The manager was great tho. Entertainment Very little entertainment. Each night there was low key music/singer/DJ aimed at adult guests. Hotel amenities Hotel shop was very pricey and your only option. We asked the concierge about local things to do with kids but they couldn’t suggest anything. Said they had never heard of the land train that drives to the next village (which we did see drive past the sister hotel when we were in a taxi). We asked about boat trips with the kids they gave us a flyer for chartering a Luxury yacht, just did not understand the brief….this let it down for a 5* Although the hotel itself is lovely we would not return as we felt there was very little to do and the location was too remote for a family trip without a hire car.

My husband and I went to Crete for our Honeymoon and we could not have chosen a better resort to stay in! We spent 6 amazing days and the greatness started from the beginning. First, when you arrive, you are greeted with smiles and refreshing (non-alcoholic) drinks when you check-in. Since we let them know it was our honeymoon, they amazingly upgraded us from our deluxe room w/ a private pool to a Royal Senses Villa at the top of the resort. Throughout the week, we engaged in their daily continental breakfast (such tasty food), lovely restaurants (we tried all three), and the Spa. Spa treatments we had (massages) were so nice and relaxing. You also get access to their adult-only pool whether you used the facility or not. The staff were so nice and fun to speak with every day. Honestly, if you're looking for a place to relax and get away from the real world for a bit, choose this place!
