Is this really the standards of a Ritz Carlton hotel in New York City? Mold in the shower (see pictures), garbage in room, carpets not vacuumed and a bright RED hair roller on the floor left from a previous guest on the floor that anyone can spot (pictures attached) ! Clearly the hotel housekeepers or the head housekeeper missed to see while they did their room check.. or did they actually .. that what you get for $800+ a night. Room service sent up all the food wrong, that we had to reorder and wait! All of this was mentioned to the Front desk and the Housekeeping manager during check out. He then scribbled some notes on his note pad and apologized! That’s it! This was one of my favorite hotels to stay at in NYC, not anymore! The 2 stars are for the staff in the restaurant and concierge who were kind and friendly!
From the moment we arrived, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Anytime we called guest services for towels, etc, it was met with prompt and pleasant service. The hotel was extremely quiet and very comfortable. Definitely would recommend The Ritz. Oh! And the bar was usually quiet with great bartenders and consistently good drinks. Thanks for everything!!!
Poor services, tired rooms, basic amenities missing. Called concierge to deliver suitcase to the room. After 30 minutes I had to retrieve it. Room had rope for one one guest even though booked for 2. No free water offered. Room decor feels tired.
