The Ritz-Carlton, Abama

This was a wonderful stay in mid-February. The service is unbelievable, the staff exceptional, and the accommodations awe inspiring. The grounds are beautiful. We stayed for 4 days in the Villas. We had our own golf cart 'buggy' to travel around the grounds and between buildings. The infinity pool was cool but temperate. The staff served food and drinks which were included poolside in the afternoon. The lounge at the El Mirador served breakfast, lunch, tea snacks and drinks until seven each evening. There are many restaurants on the complex. There is also tennis and golf. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate us from Brian at Poolside to Augustinha in housekeeping and especially Victoria, who made our stay the best holiday we have had in several years. Thank you so much for all the kindness, and attention. We plan on staying here again.

My elderly parents spent two weeks at the hotel. On check out - my father left his watch and various other effects that were important to him, in the drawer of the bedside table. After multiple calls and emails to the hotel - they finally responded . 'We cannot claim liability for the loss, since there is no evidence to indicate that the loss resulted from the negligence of the Hotel.' My father wan't looking for money - just the return of the items. And if they had looked into the issue when first brought to their attention - they might have been located. A really poor response and outcome from a brand you would expect more from.

This is our 3rd visit to the Ritz Carlton. Stunning hotel, incredible service. We had a few issues around lack of urgency with management when issues arose about cleanliness and security. A very special mention has to be made about Frank on Calle Tacande - special service from a very special guy. I cannot rate this guy highly enough and would recommend you stay on this Calle for hisnprofessionalism.
