The Pearl New York

I have just returned from a 4 night stay with my mum and 2 adult kids. I can honestly say the hotel is very good. The little extras add to the experience. The room was a good size with 2 comfortable double beds, air con, tv, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron. We were on the 8th floor and there was a bit of noise from outside but nothing excessive considering how close the hotel is to Broadway and Times Square. They are literally at the end of the Street. The hotel location is great. Subway stations are a 5 minute walk and the hop on hop off bus stops are close by too. Breakfast was nice. It was simple and included pastries, cereal, bagels, toast, fruit and yoghurt with fruit juice, tea and coffee. Free 24 hour tea, coffee, hot chocolate and snacks are available to help yourself to (crisps, mint chocolates and sweets). We loved this and would grab a cup of tea and packet of crisps on our way in. The hotel holds a happy hour in the afternoon where they provide free wine to guests in the lobby, you help yourself for a hour. It gave you the opportunity to chat to other hotel residents and created a friendly community feel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and our room was cleaned and beds made every day. I would definitely return to this hotel if I visit New York again. Thankyou Pearl Hotel for a lovely stay!

We stayed here for 4 nights and were pleasantly surprised with how quiet the hotel was considering the central location. We couldn’t hear any road noise at all which meant we all had a good nights sleep every night. Our room, with two double beds, was spacious with plenty of storage and large bathroom. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Not lots of choice, but sufficient to keep us going until lunch. Please change from the plastic plates and cutlery. This is why I’ve scored a 4 not a 5. Would be easy to load plates into a dishwasher surely. Free wine between 5-6pm in the lobby was great. Some non alcoholic drinks would have been a good addition.

Hotel in the heart of Manhattan. It is easily accessible to Times Square. The rooms are clean and comfortable. What tarnished it's whole profile it the amount and quality of breakfast. I feel the servicing of food in plastic plates and having plastic spouns and forks as if you are camping is not what you expect from a four star hotel. If breakfast is not an issue the The Pearl is a very good choice
