Loved our two week stay at Level, Meliá, Punta Cana. The meals were good, but especially the fish were all prepared beautifully. The concierges, Eddie Solutios and José Acosta were friendly and in constant communication, suggesting resort activities or making dinner reservations for us. We were also spoiled by the Level Female Bartending staff. ( Carmen, Audrianna and Karinna) They made the best Blender drinks ever ! The housekeeping staff kept our room spotless and well supplied with fresh towels daily. Aquafit classes by the pool daily were great exercise to good music and fun instructors. Especially Tutti-Fruity, who was very encouraging and very entertaining. 😀 Thanks to all the staff for their friendliness and great service. 😎

We had a wonderful trip at Meliã, Level, in Punta Cana. Good food, beautiful grounds, huge pools, long beaches and very pleasant and friendly staff throughout the whole resort. Our two concierges, Eddie Solutions and José Acosta were amazing. They assisted us with restaurant reservations, spa trips, and transportation. They answered all our questions and were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with.

Just came back from 10 days and had mixed feelings. The place is beautiful, but unless you upgraded to Level, I do not believe the resort is 5 start. The resort is beautiful, but very few rooms had a truly amazing view, even being in Level. Shuttles passed regularly, just not often enough (it was at least a kilometre to walk to the main lobby and certain restaurants and most times it was faster to walk than it was to wait for the shuttle). We left plenty of tips, however other than a well cleaned room and begging for extra towels and face cloths that we finally receive regularly (half way into our 10 days there) we rarely received snacks or coffee or coffee mate. Coffee is not their forte. If you wanted a good coffee, you needed to go to the coffee/juice bar or the level and make your own. Pool was a total miss. Not enough chairs for the first half of our vacation, not even in the sun. As for the shade, no matter the day, unless you got up at 6 a.m. (and believe me, I heard the banging of the doors of our neighbours who got up to do this) you would not find chairs in the shade until people started leaving at 4 p.m. Water was very cold. Two days they ran out of towels. Gym was small but well equipped, however half the time it had no disinfectant to wipe down the machines and weights. Restaurants were hit and miss for both food and service. We tipped well no matter what because all these workers work long hours and hard and are not not well paid. We enjoyed the bike tour, the management cocktail hour, the astrology activity one evening and the random instruments being played here and there during the evenings. We also enjoyed the golf course (we played 6 games) and the shuttle service was wonderful. Bottom line, we enjoyed our vacation, however it missed out on a lot of the little things that made it feel like a 5 star resort to us. We will not be going back.
