From the moment you enter the hotel you are enjoying a 5 star experience. We received the warmest welcome from multiple staff members. The restaurant decor is beautiful and the live pianist, Brian, was superb. He even took requests! The gluten free tea was excellent and looked nearly identical to the gluten tea- beautifully designed cakes with a festive theme. All delicious with some original flavours. The sandwiches were tasty and you can even ask for a few more!! Scones lovely and the homemade jam was so delicious. They also delivered a small chocolate cake with candle as we were celebrating a birthday. A lovely touch. The service was spot on from all staff but we must mention Miha who was excellent. We did not feel rushed at all and we would definitely return. Great position for the hotel - walkable from London Victoria, near Hyde Park. Hotel was decorated for Christmas and we had the festive tea. Superb!
Absolutely amazing experience, from the moment you arrive, the service is outstanding. The interior design and decor is just beautiful. Location is ideal - close to Harvey Nicks, Harrods etc. we had a taxi to the V&A which was only 10 minutes away. The afternoon tea was fantastic and they catered perfectly for a party which included a vegan, pescatarian and meat-eater. Not only was the vegan milk carefully labelled, but every vegan ‘alternative’ cake/patisserie was as considered and delicious as the standard menu. The service was very professional and attentive but also friendly. This is probably my new favourite when it comes to luxury afternoon tea in London, and I can’t wait to return.
From being greeted at the door until we left this was a 5* experience. Door men greeted and showed us through to the dining room where our afternoon tea would be served. This isn’t some side room it’s the main dining room where afternoon tea guests are mixed with people staying in the hotel having lunch. The room was amazing. Staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was something else! My wife was even given an extra small birthday cake with candle as it mentioned on the booking it was for her birthday. The only thing that could be improved was the booking experience, opentable is a faceless restaurant booking service and it feels so disconnected with the service we received when we arrived at the hotel.
