The staff has been very kind,it's the same everywhere not just this hotel..but the best part is their cozy rooms and the bestest if best is their SPA.. One should definitely try this when in SANKARA. Ofcourse we have stayed for only one day 😢..this certainly has given us the best experience.. When in Bali and specially in UBUD should definitely go for SANKARA.
We had booked another villa in Ubud via agoda which was just awful and completely misleading. Came on the day to book at Sankara, recommended to us by our taxi driver, we were able to see a room available before we booked - and from start to end were absolutely wonderful. So attentive and friendly at every step - excellent service. Note - if you book directly with hotel it might cost slightly more but will get added perks of free yoga lesson, free breakfast for 2 adults and there was a free mini afternoon tea (a drink and cake each). The room was well prepared, a lovely view from balcony and bathroom. Appreciated that they had already used insect repellent in the room and it was provided so we could spray room while we were out. A huge bed where 2 adults and 2 small children could sleep comfortably. (Would have cost about £25 each night for extra bed). A huge Mosquito net which made it feel like a 4poster bed. Both breakfast and dinner on both days we stayed was beautifully presented and delicious as well as the juices and tea served. They did say chicken and beef etc was halal but I hope they keep utensils and cook completely separate from pork and other non halal food. We tried out Brownie and ice cream and an orange ginger brulee - both delicious. I tried out the spa for a cellulite massage and coconut scrub.its a in a lovely open spa room with with outdoor mini garden and pond. Felt so relaxed and clean smooth skin after. The whole place has a beautiful ambience, lovely atmosphere and vibe. And you can see many workers dotted around keeping on top of maintenance of the grounds and structures and cleaning. A note to travellers - as nice as the room and hotel is it still is in country side so geckos and different bugs can get into the room. And my kids left crumbs so we kept getting ants but that's just how it is and hotel staff helped when needed. I would recommend having extra luggage holder to keep off ground. There is an area to store some bags etc. Also note every booking has extra tax and service charge as well as meals but I guess its just unusual to us as in uk its one set price # not split to show tax etc Another improvement could be lock on bathroom. And also lighting was dim so could do with a main bright light to help eg when we were packing or looking for something in the evening was difficult. The bathroom sink was a bit blocked but water disdain- just needed to be cleared. But overall a wonderful stay. Would definitely return. Thank you so much to all the staff.
Perfect room. Very wide... delicious food. Pretty decorations and wonderful sevice. Putri at the restorant always ready to serve and agung at the front desk. Stone massage is recommend. They also have barbeque dinner with balinese dencer entertainment.
