The Hoxton, Holborn is a buzzing home in the heart of London, a stone’s throw from the West End. Covent Garden, Oxford Street and the British Museum are all in easy walking distance from the hotel, along with great local eateries and some of the city’s most charming old streets.

Small rooms, I paid for a larger one and they still sent me to a shoebox. When I complained, they sent me to the appropriate person, but without even asking for forgiveness. The receipt of the correspondence was very poorly organized, I had to insist with different shifts of receptionists until they finally found my packages. They even told me that it had not arrived and made me complain to the courier service to no avail. The staff is not prepared and the elevators are always very busy, luckily I was on the first floor. Then I was in another hotel, where for the same price and location I got highly superior service.

The location of The Hoxton is great. It is centrally located and the prices are great. The service was exceptional, and the people are quite friendly and accommodating. The issue we had was with the room itself. The bed was lumpy and had a big dent in it. We had changed rooms on day 3 of our 6 night trip. It doesn't quite make sense to us as to how that room can be rented out given the status of the mattress. The roomy room was nice since it had a king size bed, but there is no where to put your luggage, meaning no luggage holder in the room. It may have been available if we asked, but there really wasn't much room to have one open anyways. I am not the type of person to put luggage on the bed itself until the morning of checking out since I do not want to sleep where my luggage has been. The vent fan does not turn on at night which can be a make or break for certain individuals. I am one of those. We had some drinks comped and a breakfast comped, but the breakfast was not that great, it was quite bland. We never got to use our vouchers since we had so many other planned activities in London. Again overall it was good, but just not sure what happened with the bed itself. I liked it overall, but just can't get passed the mattress issue.
