Our family of 5 (me, my wife, 2 kids and Grandpa) had a great time over several days at The Grove in February 2023. Yes, they seemed understaffed all around and the layout of the resort (with a lack of formal lobbies for each residential building, numerous doors to pass through and no interior central hallway to get around) was a bit absurd… BUT the room itself was new and fabulous (we had a 3 bedroom/2 bath/full kitchen apartment), the grounds were beautiful and the various pools and water park were fun and lively. The water park pool was especially hopping and Springs pools while relaxed still had a good vibe. All the staff we ran into were perfectly nice and pleasant. I think if you are staying here just for a night (or two) you may be frustrated most of the time because of long lines at the front desk (at seemingly all hours), delays in room readiness and long and confusing walks to get around… BUT once you settle into your room and become familiar how to get around and what to do I think you’ll probably have a great time here like we did.
Super disappointed in this resort Let’s start with we arrived late so we were all tired we are trying to get kids in bed. The sofa bed had no sheets or any covers at all we called front desk no answer we called housekeeping no answer we called the reservation line they tried to contact someone they had us on hold for a long time We finally went down stairs and was told there are no sheets and house keeping is closed after certain time. For such a big hotel this shouldn’t be. She also stated everyone called out and they had no staff and that was the reason nobody was picking up the phones We asked to speak to the manager since we needed a resolution our son needed to sleep he came out very aggressive asking why we needed to speak to him There was definitely no need for that especially if they had set up the room properly the bedding would be there already and we wouldn’t be going thru this aggravation They also had a line behind us of people with complaints 2nd the sinks in both bathrooms where backed up it was disgusting water would take so long to go down The hallways were in bad shape. The lobby is the only pretty part of Hotel They charge extra for everything even parking that should be included in the resort fees Service at the restaurant was horrible couldn’t get coffee or order and omelet had to keep looking for someone finally the manager saw we where trying to get someone and he got the server to come out from hiding Then they included the tip in the bill when he didn't deserve it. Don’t mind paying but at least provide the service A family also left 6 kids unattended and they were just running wild in the restaurant. They had to get security to get the parents pick up the kids We finally made it to the water park no seats available Then someone pooped in the pool. They closed the pool for 1 1/2 hours. So yes the two days there where quiet eventful wanted to like this place but after all that won’t be coming back. You can’t even get an email to communicate any grievance that occurred Definitely was not worth the $$$
Check-inn: no wait time. Not very friendly. Not helpful. Did not feel very welcome. We came after a trip of 15 hours at 6.30 pm and heard that the room was not ready. We did not want to wait for it. Luckily her co-worker saw that there was one ready. We liked the 2-bedroom condo very much. Roomy and clean. Washing machine and dryer could be cleaner (special inside rubber etc). Coffee only some different decaf bags. Bedding could be better. A lot of pillows where yellow (I hope this was the original color......!!) Mattress was oke! Overal: We liked it!! Pools etc nice!! Enough beds/shade. Towels: how many you need. A lot of traffic/file when you go out or go back to the grove. Check-out: The lady said nothing. Gave the invoice and then nothing. No: how was you stay with us...? Thanks for visiting the Grove. Just like the check-inn: you don't feel very welcome there.
