Please dont listen to the negative reviews.. Stella Island is the perfect escape into bliss and only 4 hours plane ride away from the UK. From the minute you walk in to the beautiful clean surroundings you are greeted by the amazing guest relations ladies with a refreshing drink, a seat. And from that moment on you are treated like long lost friends ..its impossible to lift a finger.. Our swim up room had its own pool area and sun from late morning, with plenty of other areas to visit if you were an early sun catcher. The main pool bar is graced by the most wonderful woman Maria who works her socks off with a smile on her face and always has time for a chat and a get to know you...she really is an asset to the team! Everyone who works at Stella Island is amazing from the lovely room, ladies, waiting staff buggy boys and the fab gentleman who pops by each day to stock up the mini bar! The surroundings are beautiful, the nightime entertainers multi talented! Food is available on tap all day in various restaurants or room service, plentiful portions and just delicious! We spent two weeks at Stella Island and are already looking at when we can go back! Holidays are about (for us) resting, relaxing, reconnecting, drinking, eating, dancing, in a beautiful setting with friendly lovely people... and Stella Island ticked all those boxes AND MORE ... Just do it! Its so worth it and we will be back there again xxx Thank you to the Stella team you were a dream xxx

My partner and I visited Stella Island in October 2024 for a week of rest and relaxation. It came heavily recommended by family members who had stayed here previously. It certainly lived up to expectations! From the moment we checked in we felt relaxed and comfortable. We booked a premium swim up room which was clean and spacious. We were very lucky in that our room got the sun about midday which was perfect - allowing us to have a leisurely breakfast and then return to sunbathe and go in the pool. We did notice however that other swim up rooms only had sun in the morning, and some didn’t seem to get much sun at all, so would recommend contacting the hotel if you’re particularly seeking sun. Having said that, there were always plenty of loungers in the main pool area if you wanted to move. We ate in 4 of the 5 a la carte restaurants and found the quality of food to be good. Umami and Paraiso were our favourites, but we also enjoyed Vegera and La Parilla. The buffet selection was fantastic for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with something for everyone. All the drinks were great too, with delicious cocktails. The only thing we remarked upon was the lack of a true ‘swim up’ bar - I have visited places before where the bar is in the pool so you don’t have to get out, whereas here you did need to leave and walk to the nearest bar to get a drink. Sunbed service was available for those not in swim up rooms. However this was not really a problem, and service was quick. Overall, we had a fantastic, relaxing and enjoyable stay at Stella Island. We would recommend it to friends and family, and would certainly come back!
