Sir Anthony Hotel

Stayed here for a week in November as I wanted to see what all the hype was about. This hotel is closing for refurbishment soon and it definitely needs it, the rooms are old fashioned and the bed is lumpy. Housekeeping is excellent, the bathroom has a good shower and nice toiletries are provided daily. The chairs in the room and on the balcony should have been changed years ago! We stayed B & B and the breakfast was excellent most of the time, a couple of days eggs were undercooked, toast was never toasted enough, one day (Wednesday) the service was only mediocre. Sun beds are sometimes hard to come by as I think they need to increase the amount. Many times around the pool we wanted drinks/cocktails but no service seemed to be forthcoming, I think the hotel could make more money if they had enough bar staff to offer drinks poolside, you could get up and go to the bar but who wants to do that! This hotel has a loyal following with the same guests (mature clientele) returning year after year however, this can make the hotel seem a little frumpy and unexciting. This hotel is in a prime location and we had a nice time but for the money we paid there are other 5* hotels to try out as I think the overall service at Sir Anthony did not quite impress me as I’d hoped for, it was good but not excellent.

Just returned from another fantastic stay at SirAnthony. Another relaxing holiday lazing by the pool, although on a few occasions this time was disturbed by the thudding music from the nearby beach bar, which is owned by the resort, not everyday, but enough to spoil the peace and tranquility Sir Anthony is renowned for. Amongst many things that make this hotel so special, are the staff. Each and everyone of them on all levels make your stay very memorable. Particularly Luigi, Stephano, Emir, Eduardo, Antonio, and Valentina and the girls ( sorry cant remember names) who all kept our glasses filled at breakfast and the pool ! It was lovely to see their faces and smiles this year too after being covered up for so long. You are all a credit to Sir Anthony and make our stay very enjoyable and welcoming. Not forgetting Roy and his friendliness at the pool and keeping it tidy. Looking forward to returning next year after the refit. The hotel is very well positioned with lots of excellent restaurants close by, and the beach being a few steps across a pathway.

Shouldn't really be saying about it, because everyone will want to visit. Hotel is in a brilliant location; Staff without exception are exemplary. An oasis of calm and individuality giving the traveller a wonderful opportunity to relax and savor every moment of their visit. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Sir Anthony.
