First time staying at Sahara. Chose this location because it's walking distance from the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, and we were in town for a music festival. The hotel felt safe and everything was clean. We had great interactions with every staff member. The elevators were pretty slow in the Marra tower, but that was really the only issue we encountered in 4 days.

Despite booking my room months in advance, when I arrived, they said it was no longer available and tried to place us in a smoking room. When I refused, they placed us in an 'upgraded' room. This room was labeled as handicap accessible. Thank gosh we didn't actually need the accessible aspects because the only part of the room that would have been accessible to a wheelchair is the bathroom, the rest of the room being cramped and poirly planned. The first night here, we already started having issues with the bathroom, too. The hot and cold waters were reversed, the bathroom floor flooded with each shower, the sink had no drain cover or ability to plug the drain, the toilet ran almost constantly and the return fan did nothing. The bathroom and entire room felt damp the entire stay even when leaving the return fan on for hours. We attempted to use the provided hair dryer, and it, along with the steam from the shower that wouldn't dicipate, caused the smoke alarm to go off! Over 30 minutes of alarms and strobe lights before they were able to shut off the alarm, and all over some steam from the shower! Another issue found during our stay was the tv shutting down every few minutes on its own. Also, there is NOWHERE to hang a towel in the room or bathroom. We were also shocked to find that room service isn't available either. Long story short, the employees we met were nice enough, but the rest of the stay felt like constant inconveniences and lack of thinking on room and service aspects. We do not plan on coming back on our next return to Vegas.
