Your comfort and satisfaction were clearly a top priority for them, special thanks to our waiter Shawn, when above and beyond, Kudos to Felipe the Manager for making our vacation all the more enjoyable. The resort's amenities and activities offered a perfect balance of relaxation and excitement. Whether you were lounging by the pool, eating at the restaurants, or having a drink at the bar, there was never a dull moment during our stay. We returned to the newly refurbished Hideaway section and I can honestly say it didn't disappoint. Just had the most wonderful 14 night stay and I will be returning.I personally don't get the negative reviews, we did not experience any of the common complaints, food was delicious and hot. Air con was cold, water was hot no matter the time of day and drinks certainly packed a punch!! Cannot recommend this resort more!Our suite was big and beautiful. The two butlers that came with our suite were amazing. Very friendly and thoughtful. We didn't want or need for anything. All of our needs were already anticipated by the butler. She knew it was my birthday so while we were out on an excursion she came in and decorated the room. It was beautiful. She even made all of our dinner reservations. The food options were really good. Plenty of entertainment. T.he staff here were very friendly and definitely made my days better .The restaurants could do a better job with the menu and I wish that the buffet had more traditional Jamaican cuisine ex: ackee and salt fish is the national dish yet it was RARELY put out for breakfast, I enjoyed the aqua aerobics with KHADIJAH and server MARCUS at the main pool was awesome and server RIKA for short at the main pool and lazy river as well, employees like them make the stay Mr Haypee in the diamond shop deserves a raise too !! We had a wonderful time off the resort on our excursion we booked 2 days of tours with TCJ TOURS or Top Choice Jamaica tours . We did the Blue Hole and White River Tubing and went to NEgril beach experience and RIcks Cafe I highly recommend those options its basically 2 for 1 . We also used them for private airport transportation and will never use the shuttle options again . Its very easy to book with them and anything you need they go above and beyond for you so I could not leave without letting everyone know . So far i can say this was my best vacation and thanks to the resort and all recommendations i had recieved . PS ONE LOVE JAMAICA.

Where do I begin I am a solo travel therefore I have to pay single supplement most of the time making my it more expensive than couples therefore I expect to get what i paid for.This certainly wasn’t the case on arrival I was shown to room 205 overhead shower didn’t work hand held shower only 5 of the of the sprinklers worked completely cracked sink bedside table sticky substance generally the room was filthy, I went to reception who told me they couldn’t move me until the morning because the occupants was a 100%not true! I was told the same thing the next day until I asked to speak to the evening manager who told me the same but yet showed me to 2 different rooms .In total I had 4 room changes off which one I only looked in to add insult to injury they only offered room 205 again. During my stay there was never full occupancy . The last room I was in 206 it wasn’t great I thought I would make do to a bad situation because I was exhausted.I had to put towels on the bathroom floor to absorb the water from the shower also towels by the door to stop lizards entering my room! Can you imagine waking up to a lizard walking towards the bathroom! The rooms are very small tired and not 5* luxury .Apart from putting a few pictures and and splashing paint in a few places mainly on the shower doors ,mirrors , floor the rooms remain as Whitesands dreadful dirty rooms I cannot emphasise this enough. The Bluewater rooms were spacious and so much cleaner I stayed there last year they were supposed to be be refurbishing the Hideaway side .It really wasn’t the case ,they were decorating 2 rooms on my floor during my stay. It is evident that they refurbished the outside common parts and restaurants that being said the Italian is like a sauna it was bad enough for the guest ,I felt extremely sorry for the staff who has to work in such conditions. Restaurant and bars , The bar I visited was good with excellent service.The so called Caribbean has 3 things which are supposed to be Jamaican …. What a joke! as for the seafood restaurant the only the thing seafood was the risotto and the lobster bisque soup otherwise it was steak or chicken Jamaica has an abundance of fish and seafood. The Mexican my first visit was ok despite it not being authentic my second visit was dreadful i waited for almost an hour for my order to be taken the staff did offer there apology. after waiting all that time the food was awful other guests left full plates of food and went to the buffet. Again I was so disappointed with the Indian restaurant Jamaica has a large population of Indian yet the food so not authentic the flavours were nice but not Indian . I understand the chefs can only work with what they get . The only decent meal I had was in Zen . I have to give props to the steak restaurant what a vast improvement since October 2023 I could go on but, I will sum up if you’re looking for luxury stay clear of this hotel. The only thing this hotel has to offer is fantastic staff I’m sure management does not recognise this,This has been my worst hotel experience in my 15 years of visiting Jamaica. I await my reply “Dear Valued guest thank your for your feed back we take feed back seriously “ blah blah and nothing changes!! Just a quick shout out to All of Shevelle teams in the Indian , all the amazing staff in the lobby bar . Chef Tristan , Chef Javis and Chef Chantel Marriott and TUI you should hang your heads in shame selling this as a 5* Luxury hotel
