Ghastly experience from the start. Majority of people drunk from mid morning till night! Pool area virtually a non go zone due to shouting, swearing and poor behaviour - if not that, then terrible music blaring - all day! Cocktails poor quality - all tasted of the same slushy cheap mixes. I am not a prude but have rarely witnessed such awful behaviour! It was encouraged by bar and team members every day ! None of the Caribbean chilled vibe that I have experienced before - just a cheap American version !! Unless this sounds appealing AVOID like the plague - pick anywhere else that can offer a true taste of the amazing, friendly and cool welcome Antigua holidaymakers deserve!! Oh and by the way … none of the rooms have a sea or bay view ! This is poorly worded on website and is (in my opinion) a misrepresentation! The food was good on average and restaurant staff friendly. Be prepared to be challenged every time you leave the property - even asking where you were going ?! So so disappointing!

Overall a really good stay. Plenty of positives including the beach which was excellent. Room was clean, well equipped and well serviced. Our first and main negative was the customer service shown by a male member of staff at the Caribbean restaurant. I believe he was a manager of some description. Essentially he was patronising and rude when it came to seating us at the restaurant. He seemed to really over egg the Diamond club Vs Standard guest seating and reservation process. We fully understood the difference so felt patronised at the explanation and his claim that we couldn’t be seated despite the place being half empty. This took place on our first night and left us with a sour view about how the rest of the holiday would unfold with the impression given to us that we could only eat early or very late around Diamond customers. It actually transpired that eating was never an issue and on all other occasions were seated with no wait or with a short wait and a drink which was completely fine. This further reinforced the poor service provided by the male and his inaccurate reasoning behind seating. He was smug and smirked whilst speaking to us. I also saw him bowling around the hotel appearing arrogant. This was in contrast to all other staff who were excellent. This hotel is large and as such has to cater for all tastes so perhaps not an ideal choice for those that want a totally quiet/secluded getaway. They catered for this very well and got the balance right between being lively/interesting and a chilled holiday vibe. The food was generally very good, beach and pool excellent, tour staff very good, room and gym excellent. Bar staff again really good with quality drinks and alcohol on offer.
