Royal Ramblas

The hotel is good , clean , staff friendly , close to city attractions, The staff that service the breakfast not to friendly , we ate only one day and we decided to have breakfast in another place outside the hotel , a bit poor for the price they charge for breakfast. Apart from this I rate the hotel as a good hotel to stay in Barcelona.

The hotel is in a great location. It’s clean and staff are super friendly. Breakfast options are quite poor for a 4 star. I was staying for 3 nights. On check in, I was given a super small freezing room with no natural light. The toilet was in a super small cabin and it’s door forcibly closes. The shower was the same. I’m not claustrophobic but I was about to be with this room. The combination of the small size with the lack of natural light was horrible. I complained to the front desk team but they said this is what was booked and agreed with me that the room is their very basic but they didn’t do anything. I find out from my colleagues later who were staying in the same hotel and paid the same rate that their rooms are spacious and do have natural light. So I complained again until I was moved on the 3rd night to another room. The difference was massive. Flooring was wooden, the room was warm, there was a proper bathroom, natural light came in. Only now, after trying the good room, I would say I would surely come back. In my opinion, the room I was given initially should not even exist in the hotel as an option.

We stayed at Royal Ramblas for 3 nights, family of 6 people, in 1 family room and 1 comfort room. The rooms are well equipped, big and clean and brekfest is OK. The stuff are helpful, especially Maitie :) We recommand staying at the Royal Ramblas hotel.
