Having read all the wonderful reviews I thought this hotel was too good to be true. Arriving at the Hotel, check in was very efficient and we were taken up to our suite which was exactly like the video. Panoramic views, amazing room, very spacious. Enough hanging space and 2 very large drawers, perfect, all I needed was more hangers which room service brought for me. There was also a hand held steamer in the room, such an easier option than an iron. There was no smart tv in the room so got a device from reception to connect to Netflix, happy husband !!! We had breakfast at NAO every morning, lunch most days at Starfish where I asked for a mixed salad and plain chicken no dressing, arrived just as I asked. Nothing is too much trouble. We had dinner at Starfish twice which was very good, the sommelier was exceptional. We went to Il Bocconcino once, excellent fine dining and again knowledgable sommelier. We also went to La Trattoria de Il Bocconcino, a casual Italian which was very good. The fitness classes were very good as well. Already booked 2 rooms for next April.
We visited for a week. Upgraded to H/B from B & B upon check in, worthwhile to upgrade at time of booking as better financially. Also upgraded to Panoramic view room on 4th floor as basic option room puts you in lowest 2 floors. You get the feel immediately this is a classy deluxe hotel. Staff are all excellent. Our room on 4th floor had a fabulous view as check in had advised. Rather than list the endless positives of a 5* hotel room, am going to list the only negatives which were no full length wardrobe space for ladies maxi dresses, hairdryer heavy & perhaps provide some fresh milk in the fridge for tea/ coffee. The maid service faultless. Turn down every day, fresh towels daily, bedding changed every 3 days. Room spotless, clothes steamer in the wardrobe. Robes & slippers provided. Huge balcony you can sunbathe on as sun most of the day on recliners with beach towels already supplied. Food in all restaurants is all freshly cooked & considers local Spanish theme. Breakfast was anything you could want including raw honeycomb. Italian restaurant worth the visit & extra cost, real authentic Italian pasta dishes. Alcoholic drinks average between 10/15 euros each. Pina Colada was just the best ever, better than in Caribbean. Pool area has iced water available & sunscreens all day. Comfy double cushioned sunbeds with towels akimbo. Pool bar service en point. We booked to return 3 days in! A special thank you to Zulu, the lovely lady who always had a big smile & was just naturally a happy welcoming member of staff.
I wish I could give zero stars. We had confirmed reservations that I made 6 weeks ago. I then received an email stating they are closing for renovations and they aren’t providing any viable alternatives. What poor customer service. No consideration for its guests.
