We enjoyed every moment in this wonderful hotel. Great facilities, super room, perfect sea view, and exceptional food ( we had half board) and courteous efficient friendly staff. Everything worked for us and we had no problems during our stay. We will certainly come again.

Another excellent stay at the Roca Nivaria. We have now been visiting the hotel almost once a year for thirteen years. Only Covid kept us away for two years. In all that time that time the standard of service, accommodation and food has never dropped. The only thing that has dropped slightly, is the standard of the evening entertainment. However, the good acts on the island have not been available as they have been in the past. I understand that a number of acts left the island during Covid and didn't return. I can highly recommends Monday nights entertainment when Francesco performs. He is an excellent guitarist with a really good voice and plays music for all tastes.

We went on a second trip to this hotel, worried after a five-year absence that it couldn't be as good as we remembered. It was. We were an extended family across three generations, staying in three suites with five adults and six kids aged 8-16. The suites work brilliantly for this, so that adults get their own space in the inner room but kids have an adult available when they need one. They are very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms that had plenty of social space for meetings between the families. The kids pool (new since our last visit) was just fantastic, especially for our younger ones. In February at least there is plenty of space both in the pool itself and on the loungers surrounding it; the pool is big enough for adults/older kids to enjoy having fun with small children without being cramped in shallow water, and our 8-10 year old confident swimmers could play in it independently while the adults chatted on the loungers. Despite it being half term, there was never any problem finding space. The occasional organised activities were fun, but they didn't take over the pool much if you didn't want to join in. The buffet in Restaurant Garoe works brilliantly. Our family had grown out of the childrens' buffet (which was perfect to keep younger kids happy) since our last visit, and the kids enjoyed trying some new things in the main buffet; however, there is enough familiar easy food like pasta/chips/pizza to make sure more cautious eaters still have food they are comfortable with. For the rest of us the buffet was varied and always delicious, with a huge variety of food including some cooked to order. The staff are wonderful, friendly, and happy to help. The nearby children's play area means that the adults got some time to relax and chat after the kids had bolted their food as well. We were on half board and there is a supermarket just over the road, which was great for topping up on the days when we were at the hotel and couldn't last between breakfast and dinner. The spa was great for a peaceful hour or two, and we enjoyed the organised activities we were involved in (archery, darts for the kids, water aerobics and plenty of time on the tennis courts and pool tables, which the hotel will lend you equipment for) - we wished we'd had time for more. We're not really about the nightlife, but there was live music and dancing several nights in the bar; one of the wonders of this hotel, though, is that this isn't noisy enough to dominate, so if it's not your thing, you can carry on in peace! But it's yet another thing that means you could literally spend a whole holiday in the hotel and not get bored. We went out on some trips too (Siam Park and a boat trip to see some whales and dolphins) which we organised ourselves, although the hotel does trips too. If you like actual sea, the hotel has direct access to a beach to the north, but you can also walk south along the very pleasant sea front for five minutes to get to another, more sheltered beach as well. Our main experience of this hotel, however, is that literally everything is done well, to maximise the comfort and enjoyment of your time, whatever you want it to be. It worked for us with little kids, it worked for us with bigger kids, we could see it working for people who'd come without kids at all. It worked for the people who didn't want to do anything all week, it worked for the people who needed to be active; it worked for the people who wanted to join in with everything and for those who wanted some peace and calm. This hotel has, simply, nailed it. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.
