This is my second review and my second visit. My first visit I gave 5 stars it was perfect. I don’t know what changed a week apart but the second visit.. oh my goodness absolutely rubbish! Dirty room.. toilet constantly running on… yes this was reported yet nothing was done. My son in law booked a sea view room and got a view of a roof with no sea whatsoever. Management did not care at all. We also found on our second visit that the staff in the restaurant were very unhelpful almost like they didn’t want to be there. We actually went clearing our own table while the staff chatted with each other?? What I would say to anyone is find another hotel because this one will disappoint you.
This place is old, dated and smells musty. Service upon checking in was horrible. No bellman to help with our luggage. We had to carry our four pieces of luggage up the front steps. The ramp was completely blocked by a car and a big orange cone. The neighborhood is absolutely NASTY. Homeless, hookers, and drug addicts (felt very dangerous). We requested and paid for a room with a city view. They put us in a handicap room in the corner of the building with a view of the roof. Overall, just disgusting. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND A BETTER HOTEL AND NEIGHBORHOOD. We absolutely hated this place.
The beach front and location were the only things good about this place. My AirPods were stolen from my room and the staff did nothing about it. We traveled with 11 friends from different states and pre booked 6 rooms. For the money that we spent, the customer service and quality of the beds and rooms were not worth it. My fiancé and I switched rooms for one night and accidentally left my AirPods in our original room. Once I realized that I left my AirPods, a shirt, and yoga pants, I spoke to the front desk. Although I’m able to track the location of my AirPods and can see the person traveling away from the hotel, the front desk person, Antonio, was extremely rude and did not want to help me. He put the blame back on me and told me to just call the police because I have the address of the person who has my AirPods. He started speaking to me aggressively and told me how his family member was accused of stealing and how bad this is that I’m accusing their staff. I told them that I didn’t want to get the police involved or get anyone in trouble. I’m sure the housekeepers thought I flew home but I was in fact only a few rooms away. I slept with my AirPods on, so I knew it was on the bed when I switched rooms. I just ask that they check their housekeeping schedule to ask them where my belongings were and to return them. There was no clear Lost and Found either. He told me there was nothing he could do. A few hours later, I asked again if there were updates on them contacting the housekeeping supervisor. Antonio continued to dismiss me and just told me to call the police. I asked him if there were cameras and he then asked a manager, Luisana, who said yes. Luisana took over the conversation for Antonio (thank goodness) and she was very understanding when she spoke to me. She told me that the GM would be back tomorrow to check the hallway cameras and even told me her shift time for me to come back tomorrow. She clearly explained to me their procedures. The next morning, Luisana took the information down including our room number, addresses of where my AirPod was, and my contact information. I showed her how the person who took the AirPods stayed at an address overnight and then now the AirPods are at a Miami high school. Clearly a staff member took it home and gave it to their teenager. My clothes were also never found. She said she would have the GM look into the address to see which housekeeper it belonged to. Hours later, there were no updates so I asked Luisana again. She then called the GM down who explained that they cannot accuse their staff without proof. She said the housekeeper who cleaned our room has a different address. I explained that I don’t care for blaming anyone and I care more about how can the hotel will support with this situation. We paid alot of money for 4 nights there and spent alot in their bars and restaurants. We will have to purchase another pair of AirPods so it’s only understandable that management should have accommodate us somehow. It’s frustrating that they don’t have a clear Lost & Found either. The GM then tried to credit back some money from our reservation but because we had checked out the day before and switched rooms to stay with our friends, she said that the transaction already went through. There was nothing else she could do so she offered me a drink and sandwich. I declined. It’s the principle of it all. If Antonio would have tried to help me as soon as I reported the missing AirPods, then there would have been supposedly enough time for the to credit back the value of my AirPods. Instead, I was going in circles with their staff just to end up with nothing. All 11 of us will not be back.
