I’ve been to about seven RIU Hotels . This one is by far the worst. The hotel is adequate, only a three star. The front desk has good service but on the most part everybody’s pretty miserable. the food is pretty pathetic, cheap, and not made with any care, I think they don’t want you to eat so everything is pretty crappy. Spend your money elsewhere, it’s not worth the money. they don’t even have an ATM they send you to the casino, 10 minute, walk, to get any money.

Do not recommend!!
Not worth the money!! Customer service at front desk not friendly, room smelled like mildew. Paid for a superior and the view was terrible . Hard to get reservations for restaurants. Food is NOT good once you do get in so disappointing!! Paid for all inclusive then spent 1k eating off property so we could enjoy our trip . They advertise premium liquor not true no recognizable labels except Bacardi. To top it off pool and pool bar close at 6 pm daily !! Then they take your chair away from you on the beach at 6 pm. It was one frustrating thing after another . Went to the gym and some equipment did not work. Coffee bar is open late in evening but doesn’t even open until 10 am when u want coffee. Pools were slimy. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!!!

Excellent Resort For The Price
I honestly don't understand the bad reviews on here. My girlfriend and I just got back from a 6 day trip and it was one of the best vacations we've ever been on. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, food was great (buffet was ok but the food in the restaurants were phenomenal), everything was super clean (rooms, beach, pool area, etc.) , and just the overall atmosphere and vibe was very warm and inviting. For what we paid we thought we got a great deal. Again, not sure why there are so many bad reviews because that was definitely not our experience. Would definitely stay here again.
