Overall nice stay at this hotel, despite multiple issues with service. Pros: Location is fantastic, convenient to multiple metro lines and within walking distance of a lot of great stuff. Room was upgraded (which we really appreciated) and was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with nice shower and comfortable bed — aside from very thick pillows which force your neck into an odd angle. Good breakfast, restaurant is a lovely place to work, and restaurant staff were lovely and helpful across the board — especially those at the omelet bar, who made delicious eggs every morning. Cons: Housekeeping was poor. It took two days to get our room cleaned, we had to call multiple times to make that happen, and then the housekeepers took our bath towels and bathmat without replacing them. Two of the three bath product dispensers in the shower were empty and never refilled; same with the water cooler in the gym. Concierge staff desk were mostly unhelpful / indifferent and implied that the lack of housekeeping was because we’d left the do-not-disturb sign on the door of our room, when we had not. We asked the front desk for lower-profile pillows; they said they'd switch them out but never did. The concierge also declined to help us call a restaurant to ask about open tables; instead they pointed us back to the restaurant website, which we'd already tried. Aside from the wonderful restaurant staff, service was mediocre — not just one-off issues but a clear pattern over the duration of a five-night stay and multiple interactions with service personnel. I know service standards can vary across countries, but Renaissance is an American hotel chain, which comes with an expectation of a commensurate level of service (especially as a Marriott Titanium member).

I have visited Paris multiple times and I really enjoy the location of this hotel. I typically stay near Place de la Concorde, but if you don't mind a short metro or bus ride to various tourist sites, I highly recommend this hotel and location. Some popular destinations can be reached by walking or a short bus ride (which is my preferred method). Paris is a compact city, so it's easy to get everywhere from this location. I don't believe there is a decent view from any level, so don't expect a great view from the hotel room. I felt very secure in the area and I believe the French government has done an excellent job in reducing petty crimes near tourist attractions after the pandemic. Message to the hotel staff (check in desk): During check-in, I was offered a refreshment or water and accepted, thinking it was bottled. However, it was from a container sitting next to an elevator in the hallway. I felt that it wasn't hygienic for someone at the front desk to pour water from a container in the hallway and offer it during check-in. I didn't drink it, but my wife did and she experienced a minor stomach ache for a couple of days. It would be better to offer sealed bottled water instead.

We took advantage of Bonvoy points and enjoyed 5 nights at this wonderful hotel. The room was spacious bed was very comfortable. We were especially grateful for the kindness of the staff including the duty manager Fabian for making this a special stay for us. Thank you to the staff and management for making it a most enjoyable and comfortable experience.
