Beautiful. This was the first time in the Maldives and we weren’t disappointed. We had the sea plane transfer which was about 45 minutes. On arrival the staff were were so friendly and welcoming. The water villa we had booked was amazing - it was facing the sunset, which we thought was ideal as the strongest part of the sun was not always bearing down on the room. Wonderful food, and the most fabulous location. The sea based activities are there to suite all skill levels. Can’t wait to come back :)

We had an excellent stay at Reethi Faru during our maiden trip to Maldives. The property is well maintained and has a relaxing vibe. Great hospitality shown by the staff, especially the team of chefs (Riju and others) at the main restaurant Vakaru. Head chef Ashis and his team took extra efforts to ensure we had great meals throughout our 4N stay. The spa sessions at Coconut spa and the sunset cruise were also good.

Beautiful small island with excellent food & very friendly staff. Weather: Don't forget to pack a ton of sunscreen (50) as it can get really hot and the sun is really strong. (We used more than 3 full sunscreens over about 2 weeks and had to buy one additional there. At the beginning it was really hot (we got sunburn after the first day) and with a lot of humidity, but you get used to it and soon can enjoy the beauty of Reethi Faru Resort. There is a wonderfull sand beach and the island looks picture-perfect. Also the forrest is nice. Generall: You pay with your room number & signature, so you don't necessarily need cash. Credit card is sufficient, the day before departure you get a preliminary bill which you have to settle then. (If you have cash they accept € & $) Food: We had breakfast and dinner included in our package and were fully satisfied with our choice. For breakfast there are about 10 different types of freshly baked breads to choose from, toasts, muffins, pancakes, a selection of fresh fruits and eggs, cheese and ham. In the main restaurant (Vakaru) there are different themes for dinner (e.g. international, seafood, oriental, swiss, italian, french, maledivian, american, grill...). We were there for almost 2 weeks and it didn't repeat and was always great. Some of the food is made right in front of you (e.g. pancakes, omletts, eggs, hamburger, pasta, ...) and you can ask for special preparation (e.g. a vegetarian version of it). There are also a lot of vegetarian and some vegan options and it is declared if it is vegan, contains fish/meat. I always found a full plate with delicous (vegetarian) meals and for dessert some treats. My (not vegetarian) boyfriend appreciated the great seafood and meat dishes while also enjoying the vegetarian options. Also the staff seems to recognize us after a few days and always greet us friendly and from time to time have a chat with us. Sometimes one of the kitchen chefs even brought us a special meal to our table to spoil us :) We were dining 1x in Reethi Grill, Dhiyavaru restaurant, Veggie'n'Vegan and Huvandhu Garden, which were all great, tasty dishes & great service, but some of them a bit more expensive. Bars: The bars were also nice with very friendly barkeepers, sometimes offering a free drink and always have nice cocktail creations. :) In the evening there are events such as live music, karaoke, quizz night,... Activities: Snorchelling in the House Reef is a must! There is a colorful reef all around the island, where you can explore the underwater world with a lot of colorful fishes, some (mostly) small sharks, turtles, muranes and if you're lucky also some eagle ray mantas :) It is possible to rent the snorchelling equippment and the dive center offers a free snorchelling introduction tour, there is also a free diving lesson where you can learn the basics. There are also some diving/snorchelling toures (charges apply) where you can go. We did the dolphin & manta snorcheling and were lucky to see a herd of probably over 100 dolphins, some of them even swamm next to our speedboot which was a remarkable experience, then we saw 5 manta rays deep down at the 'cleaning station' and later we could swimm with one big manta which came to the surface and we could snorchel next to it :) Also the guides are extremly friendly. There is also the possibility to go to a tech tour, which i would highly recommend. It was very interesting for us to see also the staff's area and behind the scenes (where the water comes from, electricity generators, solar panel, ...) There is also a water sports centre where you can try different kind of watersports and some explorations to other islands. Animals on the island: On the island are some small birds, flying foxes, geckos, lizards and some crabs. There are (at least when we were there) almost no moskitos and spiders. Negatives: ▪︎ After we had no sunscreen, we had to buy one from the resort. The "stream2sea" sunscream (which is safe for the reef) was really expensive (around 30$) and not so easy to apply, also it smells bad. So I would not recommend this sunscreen, but it's better than having none. ▪︎ All the prices are without taxes and service charges, you have to add around 27% of its nominal price, so it may looks cheaper ▪︎ They said the will change sheets max. every 3 days. But they didn't change ours during our stay (12 nights), we didn't ask them to but we somehow expected that they change it at least once during the stay. Cleaning itself was okay.
