Very nice historic hotel, central to everything, facing the train station. Felt very welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived - Jan ran out and helped with bags and luggage storage, taxi and places to go; Priya made check in easy and gave us an awesome upgrade so we could all have rooms near each other. Breakfast buffet was amazing! Pricey but would definitely stay here again

This is a 3.5 star hotel at best. First, you should know that if you take an Uber here, you will be left on the street to drag your luggage around the corner to the hotel. Uber cannot drive in front of the hotel. Take a taxi. Then you will encounter stairs when you walk in. If you wait, someone MAY come to help you lift your heavy luggage up. Or you could risk your first back injury and haul the luggage yourself. If the concierge offers to help you take your bags to the room - SAY YES. There are very narrow hallways and multiple sets of stairs to get to your room (ours included a VERY narrow spiral staircase of 17 steps down). This was the opportunity for the second back injury. At check-in we were told about an ”ecological” effort to reduce waste - quite common in the US as well - usually no sheet/towel change, which is fine. We were offered a 10 Euro food voucher to take this option. Perhaps we were tired after a 15+ hour journey, but we didn’t register that this particular deal meant our room would not be TOUCHED by housekeeping for our entire 3 night stay - we had to wash our own coffee cups, continually request more coffee and cream for the for the room. A small point but if the stay is only nights, perhaps make clear to guests that they will be saving the housekeeping staff from cleaning their $500 per night room for the ENTIRE stay in exchange for a 10 Euro food voucher! A final niggly point - our room consisted of a sitting room and separate bedroom. Nice! However, the fancy lighting system they have installed does not allow for the lights to remain ON in the sitting room and OFF in the bedroom. It’s all or nothing (confirmed by the concierge who came to our room to check). Troublesome when one wants to sleep and the other does not want to sit in darkness. A good location, concierge staff are wonderfully helpful, but for the price, a disappointing stay. Will not return to this hotel.

Our stay at this lovely hotel was truly exceptional, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Fatima went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and well taken care of, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. We’re incredibly grateful for her thoughtful attention and kindness throughout our stay. Without a doubt, we’ll be returning to this fantastic hotel for another wonderful visit in the future!
