Beware, don’t ever stay in this hotel, it was my worst experience ever, room shower was not working, hotel staff were extremely rude, they blamed us about stealing the bathrobes during our checkout, Ahmed and Shukru were the worst staff / managers ever with very rude attitude and not helping with anything at all. Our pick up from the hotel was 30 mins delayed trying to resolve things. Don’t ruin your holiday.
The location is PERFECT. The staff were friendly. The room was falling apart, 3 sockets fell out of the wall. The two of us for electric shocks. The bed sheets had hair and make-up on them when we arrived so we told reception. Reception got the cleaners to come, but all they did was replace one pillow case. The hairs were still in the beds. We decided to just forget about it. And not let it ruin the trip... until.. we both woke up with bites all over us. Bed bugs. Indeed. Upon leaving we let reception know... so would i stay here again? Unfortunately not, and thats not a reflection upon the staff. It's because of the lack of upkeep on the hotel. Its falling apart. It's funky at a glance, but then the cracks and glue and make shift temporary fixes on everything become apparent. And the dirty sheets, and bed bugs are an absolute no no. Its a shame because the location and price was spot on. Id give it a 3 star for decor and comfort. 5 for location and 1 for cleanliness.
Read the reviews, some of which are not good, but we enjoyed our stay here. Yes a little bit out of the way, a good 15 minute walk to the Duomo which we didn't mind. We booked late, 515 euro for 2 nights with breakfast, if we had stayed nearer the centre this would have doubled I'm sure. We like this sort of hotel, boutique, individual & with quirky decor. We didn't eat in the restaurant so cant comment on that and we were out most of the time. Having had a very average stay in Bologna this was superior (and cheaper) accommodation !
