Feels like stepping into a whole different world once you've entered. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the food was pretty nice. You have loads of daytime activities and the beach side is like from a magazine. There is a paid parking lot on 100 meters of the entrance. The only remark I have is that we had a big lunch in the restaurant for over 100USD, but weren't allowed to use the beach beds afterwards, or we hade spend again a minimum amount on the beach itself because we werent overnight staying guests. So if you want to use the facilities on the beach, be sure to eat/drink at the beach rather then in the restaurant if you're just visiting for the day. But this didn't stop me from having a wonderful time in this paradise!

My sister and I were weary of visiting Nomade based on previous reviews, but we were happy with our experience. What was great: - The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. The jungle vibe is dreamy and the beach is beautiful. Be sure to check out the fire on the beach in the evenings! - Beds and chairs on the beach are very comfortable and relaxing, but be sure to get there early. - Room was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. - Breakfast was included and everything I tried was delicious, including the coconut yogurt, avocado toast, and shakshouka. We ate at Macondo multiple times and it was delicious with one exception I will note below. I recommend the tzatziki, hummus, falafel, watermelon salad, broccoli, and cauliflower. - Yoga in the shala was great. We joined two classes and enjoyed both, but preferred the flow. Loved the incense around the grounds. - Prices for food were reasonable considering the quality of hotel. I was actually expecting them to be higher, so was pleasantly surprised. Bottles of water were included in our rooms free of charge. - Our concierge, Fernanda, was very kind, helpful, and responsive. 90% of the service was attentive and friendly. - Free parking for our rental car Areas for improvement: As mentioned, for the most part the service was great but there were two exceptions: - First, when we went to the beach one afternoon and grabbed a bed we thought was open, because it had just one towel on it, we were told it was being held by another group. Upon further inspection there was a bottle of sunscreen under one of the pillows. I realize it puts the waitstaff in a tough spot, but people should not be allowed to hold beds for hours at a time when other guests want to use them. We were told we could use the bed but would have to give it up if the people came back. We then moved to another bed when one opened up, but it then seemed like the waiter was annoyed with us and it was difficult to get service after that point. We also noticed the people they were holding the other bed for didn't come back for more than 2 hours. It was strange. - I ordered the chicken kabob at Macondo and when it arrived was surprised that it was chicken leg, which it did not say on the menu. I tried it and, unfortunately, it was essentially all fat and really not edible. I hate sending food back, but wanted to enjoy my last dinner of our trip. When I asked the waiter if I could order something else, he went to get the manager and he kind of gave me a hard time about it. He then said I could swap in the falafel but it would be a smaller portion, which was fine. The falafel was delicious. But when we got the bill, we saw they charged me the price of the kabob, which of course is more expensive. I didn't say anything, because I didn't want to make a fuss, but that is not best practice and was a bit off-putting. - I would avoid a room with a thatched roof. Fortunately, our room had two rooms- one with two beds and one with a king bed. The room with the king bed had the thatched roof. My sister slept in there the first night and struggled to sleep with critter noises and pieces of the roof falling onto the bed. They may want to think of a way to reinforce those somehow or add a barrier. It looks cool, but isn't great for sleeping. - Beware of the music! When we arrived back to the hotel on Thursday night, we were surprised they had music in Macondo that was EXTREMELY LOUD. I am not exaggerating when I say it felt like a DJ was in the next room. When I messaged our concierge, she let us know it would be over at 11. Nope, it went until midnight and we were losing our minds. We were excited to get a good night sleep in preparation for our day of exploring, so we were not happy. The music was both terrible and not at all in keeping with the vibe of Nomade as a relaxing retreat. I hope they rethink this in the future. Luckily, it was just that night. Another night they had live music in Macondo but it was much more chill and in keeping with the vibe. We enjoyed it. - While the breakfast was delicious, they should make clear somewhere what is included and what is not. Strangely, all of the food I ordered was included over four days and then on the last morning my sister ordered a golden milk and they charged us only for that drink. When we asked about the charge, they said that drink is not included in the free breakfast. Again, it was just strange and inconsistent. This could easily be fixed by putting a not on the menu as to what is/is not included. - I hope they will consider heating the pool! It is beautiful, but still too cold to go all the way in even in 80 degree weather. Overall, we had a nice stay with a few areas for improvement. The grounds are very special and it was a great location away from the main "party" area.

We didn’t stay here; we just had dinner at the hotel restaurant, La Popular. The view overlooking the beach is stunning. The food was great; we enjoyed the shrimp soup, ceviche, shrimp hamburger and tuna steak. The tuna was perfectly grilled (I asked for the chef’s recommendation on level of fineness).
