Landed on velvet white sand and blue sky. First impression was a greeting by Resort Tha guru Mr. Fasy and warmed welcome with Mr. Pierre Resort Manager. Arrangements for the room of our 20+ year Anniversary was fabulous and surprisingly with nice chilling refreshment. Meals always great with wonderful smile from all staffs. Special Thanks for Chef Karen who always treated us so well and lovely. Hardly left the villas and wishing to come more and more. Such a lovely place and relaxing for everyone who love Blue Sea and clear sky. Higher Recommended ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
We just got back from a wonderful holiday on Nature’s Playground - a well deserved nick name btw :) This was our third visit to Maldives and Niyama is far bigger than other two resorts we visited, which for us was a big plus. We traveled with our two kids, 10 and 13, and the size definitelly provided more freedom to explore for them, in a completely safe environment. All guests are provided with cool stylish bikes - something we found very fun as a family and it was great for kids to go exploring by themselves. Staff moves around in electric golfcarts and are very attentive watching out for guests on bikes. Niyama’s number one “asset” is it’s staff. Everyone we came in contact with has been extremely nice, helpful, friendly and warm. Each group is appointed a butler upon arrival. Fahudh was available to us literraly 24/7, attending to our every want and need with a friendly attitude. Our room stewart Muneer kept our bungalow impecably clean and made sure our stay was comfortable (also restocking our ice cream and popcorn supply). Food was amazing! Kitchen and restaurant staff went up and beyond. Miss Ayu greeted our daughter by name every time we saw her, I thought that was really sweet. I got the feeling Niyama values their employees becase the overal feeling was content, relaxed, friendly and warm. Niyama’s superstar is “the coconut killer” Imran. He offers (free) coconuts to guests, always with a big smile on his face, great sense of humor and you get treated to a song every now and then too. Resident photographer Azim is AMAZING! We’ve had family sessions before and this one was so relaxed, fun and pictures came out really, really great! We had dinner on the upper deck of Nest restaurant - I would highly recommend that. I also recommend just riding around and finding the perfect part of the beach for you - we found ours. All of the above gets an honest 10/10 from me. My only remark goes toward Niyama’s amenities - I think some refurbishments are needed for the luxurious feel. Pool areas, plastic chairs, main restauran interiors could use a “face lift”. Having said that, we had the most wonderful holiday none the less and that didn’t diminish our experience. I highly recommend Niyama and hope to come back soon!
My family and I (my two daughters age 6 years and other 9 months my wife and I) came to niyama for 4 nights. Overall experience was great however first impression was dull. When we arrived we were sort of thrown in our villa on an island with no proper tour of the island and no transportation to get around the island. When we asked our thakuru for a proper tour of the island he said he would be free the following day after 12 pm. Normally that response would be ok for a 3 star hotel and also if we had ample amounts of time to kill. However being that we booked a 5 star hotel on a limited stay (4 nights) that answer was not the best since we were clueless on the amenities of the resort. We did not want to waste time on identifying what was available and the timings of everything; along with proper reservations of the different restaurants. Additionally the view from the villa of the lagoon was the not what we expected. The view of the lagoon during low tide practically emptied out the lagoon of the water and was pretty deserted. Besides that, the resort has a lot to offer; from the views (outside of the villa’s lagoon view) to the restaurants to the kids club and awesome room service staff (shoutout to Tom and Moaz for the exceptional room service)!
