Good location, room was OK. Plenty big enough for family of 4. Facilities as you would expect from a mainstream hotel. My only annoyance is after settling the bill at the end of our stay, 2 weeks later we were charged a further £35 on my credit card with no explanation. I have tried to find an email address to no avail. I used the Facebook messenger four times with no human response. Emailed marriott main address directly and have just been sent the original invoice on a no reply email address. There is a phone number but I don't want to pay out for an international call. So be careful! It is very difficult to get help

Just got back from 4 nights at the marriott marquis and have to say its a fantastic hotel. Check in was easy and fast , the room was clean and spacious with 2 double beds a sofa , huge tv , safe ,fridge and a wardrobe. Bathroom was very clean and consists of sink , toilet and walk in shower. ( there is also a hairdryer in there) . we ate in 1 of the 3 restaurants in the hotel and the food and service were excellent. The hotel is right in the middle of Times Square which is very busy most of the time but in our room on the 25th floor we couldn't hear the Hussle and bustle outside in the night which was one of our fears before we got to the hotel. On checkout day we were able to leave our bags at the hotel as our flight wasn't until the evening. Overall would highly recommend the New York Marriott Marquis

I was in NYC for a few days and wanted to try a midtown hotel, so I tried this one that is right next to Times Square. As a platinum-level Marriott member, I received a complimentary upgrade to a room with a clear view of Times square (44th floor). The view was astonishing: you could see all of the big screens that run 24-hours-a-day, you could see the lines for the discounted Broadway tickets, and you could see all the people mulling around below. My room was otherwise OK. There was a small refrigerator and a safe. The bathroom was fine. When I needed extra amenities, the housecleaning staff were helpful. The check-in/reception for this hotel is not on the ground floor, it is on the 8th floor, which is a bit confusing at first. I had repeated trouble with the Wi-Fi, eventually I simply turned it off for the remainder of my stay. I had read in the online reviews that the M-Club on the 8th floor, a club for platinum-level or above Marriott members, was something special. It wasn't. It is unusually large (this is a conference hotel which deals with large groups of people). However, the selection and quality of food is nothing special. Breakfast had some interesting items, but I have been at other M-Clubs across the country that provide a more diverse and high quality selection. Also, I was surprised to see that the M-Club was closed on Friday evening, I would have thought that would have been one of its busiest times. The prices are about average for a N.Y.C.-area hotel.
