Welcome to the Nereida Aparthotel at the bay of San Antonio – Ibiza, the perfect place for family fun in pleasant, peaceful and comfortable surroundings. Our Aparthotel is on the beach front, with spectacular views over San Antonio bay, only 300 metres from the sandy beach Cala Xinxo and 1,200 metres from Port des Torrent. In other words, an area particularly recommended for visitors wishing to indulge in sea and sunshine on their holidays whilst at the same time enjoying the convenience of being close to a reasonably-sized commercial area with all the necessary services – bars, restaurants, cafés, shops etc.

The hotel is pleasant on arrival but is overall is out dated. The apartment we were given as 3 adults was apartment 106 which was ground floor, This had two single beds and a sofa bed, which for an adult who paid the same price as the single beds was completely unreasonable. The sofa bed was very low to the ground and more suitable for a child. The bathroom was outdated and had a bath as a shower not as pictures had showed when booking. The housekeeping of rooms were very poor and upon request of fresh sheets as the beds were never touched they just left a bundle of bedding on the bed leaving it for us to make. Then from speaking to reception we were met with staff who informed us that the cleaner refused to do it as there was no room, as seen in picture plenty of room and as a housekeeper myself I felt very disrespected as we were seen as young women in our early twenties they could take advantage of. The fridge was broken and the fridge door would not stay closed and leaked. Which was never cleaned up. Breakfast was lovely and was kept well stocked. The pool is a brilliant size and very deep.

Hotel could do with a complete overhaul. I saw this was 3* when booking, but I would say the Decor and overall condition is nearer a 2*. The staff were helpful. We were only B&B, and could not fault the choice available. Other guests we spoke to who booked evening meal Saint the food was not great. We had booked a superior studio with sea view, but on arrival was told we had been “upgraded” to an apartment (no reason given) The first apartment we were given was terrible - ground floor overlooking the pool. We asked to change room & after the staff contacted the manager was given a different apartment (room 712). This was slightly better and only had a side view of the ocean. I think our original choice of studio has a proper view overlooking the ocean and views of the sunset. I realise this was quite a low priced hotel but was expecting something in slightly better condition. The bathroom had appeared to have been refurbished but the rest of the apartment was dated and old. I would not recommend the hotel if you are wanting a nice gleaming hotel. As I say, the staff were great & towels/room service was daily. San Antonio Bay itself is extremely run down. A LOT of derelict/closed down shops and bars & not many places to eat. We ended up getting the water taxi over to San Antonio (€4) which was absolutely amazing - clean, tidy & a good selection of places to eat and drink. As was Ibiza town - only half an hour away from San Antonio on the bus (€2,20). The marina and area was well kept and clean. It was just a shame that we had to return to San Antonio Bay, and walk back to our hotel along the quiet deserted & grubby streets - locals said the Bay never really recovered from the financial impact of Covid. It is a shame, but I’m afraid I would NOT recommend San Antonio Bay as a place to stay or visit. Hopefully it gets some kind of funding in the future as it is extremely run down Ibiza itself is amazing though. Well worth the visit (just not San Antonio Bay)
