We were so worried about our stay due to bad reviews. I am very glad we didn't change our booking. Yes there are elements that need updating such as the bedroom floor, but for the price paid compared to other hotels we were very happy & hope to return. I would have liked a double bed rather than 2 singles pushed together, however i slept so well! Regarding the food, there is ample choice every meal time inc, fresh fish, chicken, salads, everything we had during our 10 days was lovely. So much choice, do many hot dishes. It is lovely local food, if you want american food, fries etc this is not for you! Chic needs to be booked & offers a formal sit down menu in the evenings. It is 'formal' & although the small menu was nice, we preferred the atmosphere in the main dining room. If you get a chance to go sailing with Leslie, he is not part of the hotel staff but came highly recommended to us by returning guests. As you look out to sea from the hotel he is over to the left sat on his bob cat little boat, picture on here for reference. Charming, honest lovely local man who taught husband to sail. He also took us over to Pigeon Island one day, well worth a visit. We met some really nice people, where the hotel is quite small you soon see familiar faces. Irwin, the night manager made our stay even more special with his conversation, attentiveness, humour & lovely personality. What a credit to the hotel he is! Also, Stefan, what a nice young man, working so hard, so friendly & attentive, always greeting us with a smile & by name. The dining area, we experienced fantastic service from Calton & Marthalina, both of which went out of their way looking after us, both of which were always working so hard, so friendly & good at their jobs. Trevor, also very nice. Krishna cleaned our room perfectly every day, she went out of her way to bring me the Tea bags i liked. What a lovely hard working young lady she is. Troy & Nigel, thank you for the lovely drinks at the pool bar & the laughter. All of the above are a credit to the hotel & all made our stay even better! So many lovely sunsets to be had at the beach, beautiful. Entertainment wise, the fire eaters were amazing, also the silent disco was good fun! Now....the staff in Mahi's....well this is the only encounter we had with rude staff. Seriously awful attitudes. Not even able to raise a smile, we were also told to carry then scrape & stack our plates after our meal whilst 4 of them stood about not working! Everything was an effort for them. I would like another hotel security person to be present at the far end of the hotel fronting the beach. One person didn't always feel enough.
We have just returned from our fourth visit to the Mystique, we were there November 19 to the 26 th. The reason we return to this resort is the location, wonderful staff and food quality. The Mystique has a charm as it is a smaller resort on a magnificent beach with stunning views The staff continue to be some of the nicest people we have met in our travels. Our room was always clean, fresh towels and bottled water supplied. Thank you. Jennifer and the front desk staff who were always friendly and helpful. I sometimes wonder if some people who left negative reviews wrote about the wrong resort as we only experienced friendly staff members. The grounds are beautiful with mature trees, palms and flowering shrubs. A shout out to Cletus the gardener who seem to take such pride in his work and always had a smile for guests. Terrence at the pool/towel bar was a helpful staff member and always was polite and helpful. It was wonderful to see Marthalina in the restaurant again, she is a wonderful person who always has a smile and goes beyond to make sure your stay is a positive one. I loved how Marthalina remembered that I like lemon slices with my tea. Calton is a newer wait staff to us and he was a delight. Always friendly getting our morning tea and coffee, a hard worker who would askabout our day. Troy and the pool bar staff … Huston, Nigel, Jonathan etc are great… always smiling and ready to serve up drinks for guests. I always gave 5 stars on previous visits but some changes were made that I gave it 4…. Which would be 4.5 for this visit. One thing is we missed the beach/ pool bar food menu… but maybe it will return. It had great options if you choose not to eat lunch in the dining area. Mahi’s in the beach though is another option for lunch. One addition which was a plus was the afternoon tea/ coffee and sweets set out for guests. The Palapas on the beach are great and are better than flimsy umbrellas. One suggestion is to replace the beach loungers as many were torn or broken. Many loungers around pool looked new and the cabanas are in great shape if you prefer to sit by the pool. I always was able to get Rose wine in the evening which wasn’t available this time. The meals were buffet and at first we were disappointed as were were used to some alacarte lunches and dinner however all meals had great selections, fresh ingredients and were of very good quality. Evening dinner at the Chic … with Mr Mark and staff which you must reserve was delicious and offered a variety of choices. Thank you to all for making this a wonderful 4 th mother/daughter trip. We would definitely return as the Mystique offers a Caribbean charm and the staff are amazing. Diane and Melissa Canada
My husband and I visited St Lucia and stayed at this Lovely all Inclusive resort for 6 nights. Rodney Bay is a very nice location with the marina - catamaran tour, mall and private restaurants if you like. Mystique resort is pleasant and serene with a super nice view of the beach and pool - we were in the water often. We enjoyed all the food and drinks made. The coffee and desserts were delicious.. Mahi Grill - Wow! Chic Lounge - Special. The service was very hospitable and professional with personal attention. We got to know many of the staff members and made friends - we miss them. Oh ! did I mention the helicopter trip over the Pitons, back to the airport ! Thank you Mystique St Lucia by Royalton for making our visit special. Rick and Arlene
