Second time staying at the Mim, Amazed to see some of the miserable slightly aggressive staff still working there, they have zero hospitality skills and let this hotel down. Couldn’t get to the bottom of who chooses the music for the pool or the Sky bar after asking several members of staff, Loud brain dead Depressing thumping Techno music is not ideal to relax and not the spirit of Ibizan chill vibe. The rooms are nice and clean, breakfast is good, nice coffee, But we won’t be returning to the Mim, The bad music and unfriendliness/negative attitude of some staff members is not what we come to Ibiza for and we’ve been coming for many many years and stayed all over the island.
Stayed here for 3 nights with family. Was a little anxious after reading some reviews but really there was no need. I also do not understand the negative comments. Room - On the smaller size but was good, nicely decorated, cleaned each day, great bathroom. Breakfast - Nice mix on offer and more then enough to start off your day with. Location - Just a short walk to the boardwalk where there's a mix of restaurants and places to have a drink. Spa - Great massage had, therapist listened to what was needed and really helped my bad shoulders. Facilities although not big are very nice and nicely decorated. Relaxing time had. Sky Bar - Cool chilled vibes/music. Watched the sunset which was beautiful. Loved the decoration of the Sky Bar. Hotel is art deco and its done well. Beautiful views, friendly staff and great drinks made. Would definetly book again.
We booked a superior double room with a balcony. Foolishly I didn't check the dimensions, as normally when you book a superior room with balcony you get a superior size....this Hotel is not the case. Even our room was dark and the balcony so small that the 2 comfy chairs were side by side. The staff are very nice and do their best but the basics here is the problem. ALL the rooms are small except the suites that are €300/night. There is mega bass music pumping out all the time outside by the very small pool (which has few chairs) and they have a DJ there some days (deep joy) You would think that clubbers would want to get some peace and tranquility during the day and get their rocks off at night! The music is so loud you cant even hear your own Spotify stuff. The Hotel location is good, very close to a nice beach and lots of reasonable restaurants. Old town Ibiza is a 20 minute walk away, with a plethora of tapas bars and restaurants to enjoy. Breakfast was good. Finally the Sky Bar has lovely views across the sea towards the old town and it would have been nice to sit there in peace and comfort...but it is only reached via a 'church steeple" staircase... and no, once again a wannabe DJ every night whose exploitation of the singular 'bumpety bump' beat bores one to distraction. If you do book this Hotel, make sure you're small and bring a good supply of paracetamol and ear plugs.
