Not worth it on points or dollars

I’m writing this from the perspective of a Hilton Diamond member. Got a room for NYE on points. But had another paid reservation for an additional 4 nights and the rate was reasonable. Glad I did because this place is barely 3 stars and not worth the price or points. Being NYE I understood no upgrades were available. The room we got was ok but the carpet was beyond filthy! I had asked about an upgrade for the following nights and in the span of a day and half, I must have talked to 6 different front desk agents and none cared. By the 7th person I spoke to I was able to score a suite. Well it was dated, old furniture and plumbing and the AC did not work well and it was noisy. As an ex-New Yorker, I can understand some attitude but this is a training and management issue: these folks have not been properly trained in the art of customer service or just basically caring about customer needs. Then trying to get a late check out was another fiasco! I had a teleconference in the afternoon before leaving and needed privacy. Also had to talk to several front desk people and none cared and they all had to go in the back and talk to someone. And I wasn’t even asking for a 4 pm late check out which I’m entitled to receive. Poor customer service by all front desk staff that I dealt with during my stay. The only exception was Wendy at the coffee shop! She was delightful! Unless you get a very good deal this place is not worth it even though some views are nice and the location is ok.

Female receptionist vs males - completely different level.

Stay there 22-27. Have some problem wz my credit card and need some flexibility to use cash invole. Im so lucky to check in with a lovely and helpful lady. She help me solve the problem quite easy. And along the stay, one manager on duty during 25 morning also have been very helpful. Including the lady manager on duty of 26 evening also very understanding and caring. One Asian lady on duty of the eveing of 26th though seem to lack the vasic understanding of the bill. I point out to her what s wrong and she seem to not understand. Keep brushing off and in the end said I need to talk to whoever make the bill....once the lady manager come in, with a single glance she spot what s weird in the bill immidately, just like i try to tell the Asian lady who refuse to listen. The male receptionsit though...was on different level. Not only they seem to lack knowledge to simple understand basic bill math, they also lack passion. Quite stone cold and unwillingful to help. If i were to checked in with them, no way they wd help me the same way i got help from woman side. The duty manager at night, during 26th night also have been quite rude. He dont allow me to finish my story and try to brush me off everytime i speak. He keep saying he will fix the bill, blame me for making his work harder. And at one point he point his finger on my bill that show f&f rate and say he wont do this (help) especially with booking like this one. It s like he disrespecrful for people who use discounted rate as if they are not one of the clients. When i had enough I just empasis a few point lf the bill that s wrong and ask him to fix. He wave his hand and say in shooing motion said 'bye now' this s probably the most rudest person I encounter in this trip. And the bill he promise he will fix and ask me to come back in the morning? It didnt fix. Everything stay the same.

Good stay

The staff was very friendly and there was a nice little cafe downstairs to grab a snack if you needed it. Our room was fine. The bathroom was the best part. It was updated and pretty nice and clean. The carpets and walls in the bedroom were a little dirty in spots, but the bed, furniture and windows were clean. We enjoyed our stay and didn't have any issues.
