This is a sophisticated adults only hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, we had a sea facing room. Shower v good. Bed comfortable. Breakfast buffet was lovely. Evening buffet was nice, I wouldn’t have wanted it more than a couple nights of our stay. We also ate at their fine dining restaurant Salazar, this was v good; well thought through dishes, nice service and overall a very good experience. There was one night of our stay when there was VERY loud music. At the time I waited, then went down to the front desk, I wasn’t thrilled with the response that it would end by midnight, but resigned myself. The next morning we found out this had been an unexpected event, an evening meeting for Dior staff where they had obviously had fun but not great for the rest of us. The reason I will still give 5* is that the hotel guest services representative and manager met us the next day to apologise, there was fizz and flowers sent to our room, along with nice spa products and they reduced our bill. I hadn’t asked for that and it was very much appreciated. There are lovely views over the stunning coast, 2 pools and great spa. I did yoga which was very good.

I spent my wife’s birthday there and it was such an amazing experience. Staff were super friendly and professional (especially Lucia and Daniel from the front desk), the facilities are amazing and the outdoor swimming pool is a magic place to chill/take the most beautiful photos.

One of the appeals and why we choose the hotel is because of the beautiful golf course. After we checked in, and went to book a tee time, my partner was told he had to have a golf license, which he does not have. He has played at course throughout world including the amazing course Andi Tauro in Gran Canari. So here we are day 2 and still no resolution. The description on the hotel website for gold states suitable for golfers if all levels. There is no mention anywhere about a golf license. GOLF Practice your swing on a magnificent golf course between the mountains and the ocean designed by Severiano Ballesteros. An exciting 18-hole course with lakes and waterfalls and suitable for golfers of all levels, with beautiful surroundings and views to inspire your best shots. Visit our Meliá hotels with golf course access. Check availability The hotel is lovely, but I give them a Big F… it’s false advertising and they are anything but accommodating.
