The Stanton has a great location if you like to be in the heart of things right on the main drag by nicely-designed walking and biking paths and the wide sandy beach and near the lovely pier for morning or evening strolls. All staff were helpful. Beach staff set you up with towels, chairs, umbrellas, food, etc. (Rinaldo, Gianluca, Luke and Jalen and all of them from other days). Cleaning staff gave extra supplies as needed. Front desk printed out documents for me a number of times. Floride handled our room during a long stay. Lolo's Surfside Cantina breakfasts and lunches were easy and affordable and the Big Pink diner is only a block away, with giant portions of every kind of food you could order. The pools were too small for lap swimming but okay for dips, but we spent every day at the beach and didn't mind this. The facilities were a bit limited for a luxury hotel, e.g. small indoor public spaces, no business center (perhaps there is for conference-goers), and a small gym with only one stationary bike, Peleton, etc (I suggest the hotel put a sign up, saying "please limit equipment use to half an hour if others are waiting"), and not a single work-out mat so you had to stretch on a towel on the floor. The hotel room's tv and remote were slow and our door lock repeatedly jammed until finally replaced, however the engineers resolved these minor issues. One nit to pick: The hotel's Starbucks refused to honor the free birthday coffee promised through their own app, despite accepting payment via the app all month. I mean, c'mon. We've stayed at the Stanton on several trips and will be back there in the future as it's great for a Florida vacation.
Great service, Ronnie was truly exceptional and went above and beyond for us. Would highly recommend renting chairs here for a relaxing beach day! Our waiter was also exceptional and the food was great!
Excellent location within walking distance to restaurants and south beach attractions. Beach and beach staff are excellent. The downfalls : Front desk staff not always friendly . Booked 3 rooms for my husband and I and our two adult children. Wanted to change our room because it was tiny, across from elevator and looked out onto a wall, got the run around from front desk staff who suggested I switch rooms with one of my children as this would be easier for us and them. The beach staff is excellent ! Each room includes 2 beach chairs daily but you have to pay for an umbrella , which is ironic because the beach staff set up a row of umbrellas to line the hotel property and local beach goers “squat” under the umbrellas for free while hotel guests pay for their umbrellas. The rooms and bathroom are small and there is no magnifying mirror as you usually find in many upscale hotels. Overall the hotel got it done as the location was perfect for us . When we visit again will choose a different hotel.
