Pleasant, comfortable and honest, close to the action. In Typic Hotels we know that you are looking for more than standard, you want a real, authentic experience. The Marina Playa hotel is an elegant, pleasant and relaxed hotel without pretensions or hang ups.

I was looking to go with a group of my girlfriends so looking for a nice hotel along lines of Paradiso but found them all so expensive. I had stayed at Marina Playa in 2014 and had a sea view and remembered how good the sunsets were. The pool area and music at hotel is also great and the loveliest little beach of Es Puet just opposite. I would only ever book the sea view rooms though as I don’t think the other rooms have much of a view. However if you’re not concerned about that it’s still a great hotel. We were checked in promptly and politely by reception staff, our rooms weren’t ready as we were early but we just went by pool and got some food and drinks. When we got to our room I was a little disappointed as we were on the top floor and they don’t have balcony’s where you can sit out on and all the other floors do. But the hotel was fully booked and we couldn’t change. Ended up being ok anyway. The rooms are decorated really nicely and all the little touches again make the difference. We had a kitchenette and fridge which is a massive bonus. They give you a beach bag and lanyard (still not sure what it’s for 🤣) in your room. There are toiletries in your room shampoo and conditioner and body milk I used them all and they are really nice. Air conditioning is a god send and is free. The only thing was the safe didn’t seem to work (not sure if I needed to pay but I didn’t ask and never used it anyway). Rooms are cleaned and restocked daily. It’s very clean. The whole hotel is light airy and spotless. Despite it being fully booked we never found the pool to be overcrowded. Pool area is great and we never had a problem getting beds. They also have those Bali day beds and when I’ve stayed at other hotels they charge you for them or require a minimum spend so it’s a nice touch that they were free for guests. There are DJ’s on daily - the music is very Euro cheesy House / Tech not really my taste and I think a touch too fast & loud sometimes for during the day when most people are sleeping and chilling. (Although I wasn’t thinking this on the Friday we arrived 🤣) The music carries on through the night and on the Saturday night we stayed on our balcony as they had a party with dancers, fire performers and drummers etc that was really good. The staff at the hotel are wonderful. Especially Alexandra who worked during the day and was very helpful and always had the biggest smile. Jose who worked on the night shift was also very lovely. For what we needed we thought was a great location there’s very nice restaurants nearby and easy to walk into San An. Overall great experience that I would recommend for the price and would definitely stay here again. Thank you

A really lovely hotel that’s is reasonably priced, has music playing by the pool, the staff are so friendly and the sheets and towels are changed everyday. We would highly recommend it. It’s also suitable for all ages of couples. Young and not so young if you don’t mind a lively pool atmosphere.

Stopped here at the hotels “On The Bay” bar. Been here a few times in recent years. This time it appealed more as things seemed a little more “up to date” from that we recalled previously. Delicious hot and cold food and nice selection of drink, all at prices you can’t really fault. Nice outlook if you sit wisely and not especially busy (at peak lunchtime on a Saturday anyway). Would definitely go back again, and likely will before our return to the UK next weekend.
