Lux South Ari Atoll

This was our second visit to Lux South Ari Atoll, exactly 1 year apart. About a month before our trip we contacted Gabrielle, who was extremely helpful as always, and arranged all of our trips, excursions and restaurant reservations. We booked the house reef snorkelling for every day, and a private speedboat tour for Mantas, Turtles and Whalesharks. Gabrielle made the process easy and was always friendly and professional. When we arrived at the Lux we were greeted by Gabrielle, and it was so lovely to see her beaming smile after such a long time travelling. We had been upgraded to an even better room, which was a lovely surprise! Our stay went far to quickly, and without a hitch (apart from the weather, and it would be lovely if they could have some control over this too!) We had breakfast and dinner in Mixe – always looked after by Basil, Gyan, Shizuvee, and of course the lovely Rimaa – special mention for Ajif who always knew how to make our eggs and pasta! At lunch we mostly went to the lagoon bar, and were looked after by Haris, Yante, Ahmed and Mano. A couple of visits to the Veli for the amazing pepper beef! Vijay remembered us form last year, and looked after us with Khan. We had one night in Beach Rouge which was nice, looked after by Hamdhoon, who was funny and friendly as always. Of course our favourite buggy driver was First Class Shawkat! He would always make sure to pick us up, and make sure that we celebrated life – a truly nice and genuine person, always up for a chat, and recommending places to go and take photos, or something different for dinner. However our best days and biggest mentions go to Rushan, Alaa, Sif, & Daahl at the watersports centre! We had 2 amazing private speedboat trips, where they took us to see dolphins, turtles and manta rays, and then to an amazing reef next to the sandbank, where we saw thousands of fish and some brilliant coral. We were never rushed, and they were always so friendly and helpful – we really made memories to last a lifetime. Our experience didn’t end so well, due to the weather (no fault of the Lux), and we could not get our seaplane until the following day (we gave up our seats for another family) – we had built some extra time in to our holiday, and were only due to transfer to a different resort, so it wasn’t as important as missing our international flight home. The Lux did the best they could to keep us informed, and we were personally thanked by John Rogers the following morning which was a nice gesture. All in all, we loved the Lux, and we will definitely be going back. Thank you so much for our memories, and helping us to Celebrate Life!

My partner and I went to Lux Ari Atoll for our honeymoon. It was the best experience we had, where the island offered good service, beautiful views and a really nice beach villa, which we enjoyed at the highest level. It was really structured in the hotel and we were welcomed very well. Through the hotel's nice staff, restaurants, etc. we really felt at home and we left the place really sad. It is a "must" to experience this island and we will definitely return in the near future! I thank Lux Ari Atoll many times for making my honeymoon unforgettable❤️ This experience will be remembered forever.

Unbelievable trip ever and we regret just to stay for 3 nights as we are going to the local island for another 4 nights The water villa was amazing and beautiful view, we spot quiet many shark and sting ray in front of our water villa during the night time. need to improved for the sea grass as it a bit more. Manta always here at the arrival jetty and it was amazing, if you are lucky we can see the turtle as well. All the staff are so friendly, special thanks to Rachael from the reception, chef Esther from east market, chef Yang from east market, ashfag from beach rouge, Natasha from east market. We will be back again for a longer days
