We just checked out. We’re a couple in our 30’s from Buffalo, NY booked this spot for a chill vibe. I went used the concierge leading up to our stay via email & WhatsApp to arrange car services and massage appointments. They were super responsive…until we checked in they had our card on file the dismissed us. For example, the spa (avoid at all costs) did not have showers or foot baths. So the massage therapist essentially didn’t use enough oil and gave me brush burn all over from rubbing the dirty sand on me. I did get up at one point, excused myself to rinse it off but it didn’t matter. I contacted the concierge with pics and heard nothing back. The hotel itself is beautiful. Lovely rooms, bathrooms cleaned 3x a day, no TV’s, tea service at night. But that’s where it ends. Everything else service wise is nickel & dime. And the quality of service you get depends on your room number. One day they thought we were in one of the suites and the service was amazing. When they realized it the next day the service was so slow and bad. Cold food, 35 min wait for margaritas. Horrible. Now- The water- so they make their own filtered water on-site. Looks so cute in glass jars. Do not drink it. It gave me a terrible stomach ache and my husband had “issues”. They do of course sell bottled water in the mini fridge. Also at the restaurant they don’t offer you the free filtered water, you have to pay for water…. They do tell you it’s safe to drink the water left in the rooms but by day 2 we only used it to brush our teeth. So be weary. Room service was terrible. Took forever cold coffee, cold food. WiFi worked great, ac was great. No robes but they give you a cute bathing suit coverup to use. No gym but the jungle gym was so cool!! I dunno. We’re mixed. We loved Tulum, but the hotel service was so bad we don’t think we’d go back.

We visited for a week in Feb 2023. the food, setting and staff were amazing! Close to all the Tulum sites, easy access the Cancún airport and great contacts in the area for tours! Comfortable resort for families with great beach access. Friendly staff who really make you feel at home.

2 out of the 4 days we were in Tulum, we went to La Zebra! $70 minimum consumption fee per person, but totally worth it - great service by our waiter Jaime, good food and drinks, and cool cabanas. We would recommend the chicken torta and jardin de jalisco
