We just experienced a wonderful stay at the Kimpton De Witt. All the staff there absolutely make this place, so genuinely caring and happy to serve! Beds very comfortable, would only wish for better lighting in the room. From the cocktails at Super Lyan (a special mention to Elinor who was amazing!) to the great food at the Celia restaurant, we couldn’t fault it. Thank you!
We stayed here for one night - the hotel is cool and trendy, great bar and great cocktail bar, super stylish. The rooms were spacious, clean and super comfortable. We will 100% be back - 5/10 mins walk to the canals which is absolutely nothing in a walking city.
My regular hotel in Amsterdam but this is my first review in 3 years so I thought an update was due. Thankfully the Kimpton remains the best Amsterdam hotel for me. My Platinum ihg status ensured an upgrade and points bonus. The receptionist was a joy and check in smooth and quick. My room overlooked the rooftops and church towers, nice ambience. Bed, pillows, shower all clean and comfortable. Location is basically a 5 minute walk from Central Station. The walk from my room to the Eurostar platform took 14 minutes. Shops, supermarkets and bars are on the doorstep and yet my room was silent. And if you are tempted to go elsewhere for breakfast, don't. The Kimpton breakfast takes some beating. An endless flow of coffee and fruit juice to help down an big array of hot and cold food. I could have sat there all day. I had to dig deep for a gripe. The only one I could come up with is that the beautiful cups in the room aren't big enough for my prescribed amount of tea. I'll take a mug the next time.
