Fabulous bar tender Amina at the splash pool beach bar, amazing when we asked her for our cocktails she knew exactly what we wanted and served with a smile even in the 38* heat shaking those cocktails! Great hotel staff and service. Will definitely return and recommend 🍹😊

Advanced apologies for the long review this time This was our 29th visit to the JA Beach/Palm tree hotels needless to say we love staying at either of these hotels. We usually come to celebrate most birthdays and anniversaries we had come to celebrate our 48th Anniversary this time and I'd emailed the JA Beach well in advance of this and that we were Discovery Platinum members which benefits include room upgrades if available. We arrived late after a long days travelling and our check-in wasn't very impressive to say the least, we were told that we had been upgraded to a Seaview room, when I stated that was the room we originally booked the young man at reception challenged me about this so I produced our documents as proof, next we're told there's no upgrade because the booking was in my husband's name and Discovery is in mine I said it had never been a problem for the other 28 visits we've had he then said there were no Deluxe Seaview rooms available why not say that in the beginning without excuses and attitude we've always understood that even for Discovery membership it's subject to availability. He said we could move rooms in 2 days when the upgrade became available this never happened, but more disappointingly neither was our anniversary recognised we've always had a cake and a card and our room as been beautifully decorated with towel art and rose petals this time nothing. Rant over and apart from the reception staff who seemed most unhelpful throughout our 14 days we had a lovely time as always. The beach and gardens are well kept and tranquil, the food is well presented and varied, the cleaning and waiting staff are friendly and competent and as always it was a pleasure to meet up with all the old staff we've befriended over the years especially Martin at the Palm Tree Court beach who without a doubt knows how to treat the hotel residents he always goes above and beyond his duties to serve. Will we be back for a 30th visit most likely despite a few issues we love it here. Is the Discovery rewards scheme worth joining not really other hotel rewards memberships are definitely far more rewarding.
