Ilio Maris is a Mykonos Town hotel at the very centre of the Mykonos island, just a few steps from the famous grand Mykonian windmills. It is one of the very first hotels in Mykonos island built, and operated in 1985, and was fully renovated in 2010. Its unique minimal style combines with great success surprisingly amazing comfort with exquisite elegance, as much as exists in perfect harmony with its incomparably stunning surroundings.

My family and I arrived here via boat, so the travel time is about 10 minutes by car. I had already arranged transportation with the hotel, and they were able to book that for me; however, keep in mind that it's a third-party, so you'll be paying the driver directly. Unfortunately, because our ship came late, we weren't able to be picked up when we got there but had better luck with drop off when we checked out. Getting there, they offer a fairly spacious waiting area, which is great when checking in or out, and the pool nearby offers gorgeous views! If you're looking to head out to the famous Mykonos Town, it's only like a 15 minute walk, which to me isn't so bad at all. It's fairly flat, but there are some steep inclines so wear your comfy shoes. Staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and spacious. Definitely will be coming back here the next time we're in Mykonos!

A 3 minute walk away from the hustle and bustle of Mykonos town, the 30 room hotel sits just outside of the madness. Breakfast is average to good Pool area is relaxing, not crowded and the sun beds are 10/10 comfortable . Pool bar service on the sunset deck is great. The barman and team worked 11-12 daily in the 36 degree heat so was well worth tipping ! Sea view rooms are worth it, they overlook the harbor and the town. We hired a car from the hotel for €50 to explore the island because the beaches aren’t walking distance away. Taxis one way to scorpios are around €50 each, so giving up drinking for a day seemed very worth it. Peter who works reception PM spoke better English than me and was very helpful with recommendations. If you want to visit Mykonos, experience the culture and eat somewhere different every night, this hotel is a great location to do so.
