Very average hotel for the price. On arrival, we were shown your room. Looked nothing like the pictures on the website. It was extremely small with very little storage. No where to put your suitcase and they didn’t fit under the bed. Staff were ok, not the happiest or best hospitality I’ve had and this really did let it down. There was no mirror in the room (over the dressing table) when I brought this to the staffs attention, I was told it was a desk…. Interesting as the plug socket by said desk was broken. The other sockets in the room were also poorly fitted, the adapters would pop out if they weren’t at the correct angle. On checkout, we were also told there should have been a sofa in the room. No idea where that would have gone as you could barely find space to unpack and there was only 2 of us. Lovely location but that’s about it. Pool area was nice, however I think far too much chlorine/chemicals were in the pool as it played havoc with mine and my partners skin making it extremely dry. He’s Italian so not just me being delicate and pale. Also, for a 4 star hotel, I d expect the towels to be of good quality. These were faded and some were fraying with holes. Breakfast was the best thing about the hotel, great choice except the avocados which appeared to be frozen as they had a funny taste. Wouldn’t return, especially for the price they charged.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with Corso hotel and its renovation. Last time I stayed there was in 2017 and I didn’t like it. They did an excellent job with renovation and spa is good. We will def come back again. The location, price and cleanliness at very high standards.

Location of the hotel is great for catching a water taxi over to the town but sadly the hotel is a let down, especially when you consider the price. We stayed on a Deluxe double with a sea view, the rooms are very basic & need some TLC. The double room consisted of 2 single beds, whilst I know that in Europe double rooms quite often consist of twin beds, they usually have to facility to make them a double with a mattress topper etc, this was not possible at this hotel. The walls are paper thin & can hear the neighbours TV & even when the turn the shower on. Great toiletries in the bathroom however the fixings that they are held in are poor quality & make them difficult to use, that’s when they don’t fall off the wall. A nice pool area with a view of the old town, pool is a nice temperature. Unfortunately, let down by the worst towels, I can’t believe that they hotel aren’t embarrassed to give them to guests, they are threadbare! Definitely not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Perfect location, shame about the hotel.
