My sister and I returned for another winter break at the same time as we did last year. This year everything was free of Covid restrictions and we left with an even better impression of the hotel and we can’t wait to come back in the summer with our wider family. We again stayed star prestige and utilised the cafe more at lunch this time which we loved and a great little quick change of scenery at lunch. The downstairs area with the cute little “nook” seats in the star area was also brilliant! We used the food market in the evening for nibbles and drinks and we loved it. We found the prices very reasonable. Perfect location with plenty around outside, though for some of the nicer restaurants you need to book. See you in the summer

I feel a little bit nitpicky dropping a star from this review, but there were one or two things that just need a bit of attention. The hotel is lovely, in a great location, and without exception the staff are so friendly and helpful. The pool, hotel itself, and eating areas are all spotlessly clean. There was no problem with Sun loungers and there were always spaces regardless of when you decided to go down. So all good! The slight negatives. There are one or two areas where things are beginning to look a bit tatty, for example pretty much every door frame is bashed and dented from the room cleaners trolleys, and it really detracts from what is quite a modern interior. There are simple easy and low cost solutions for this but it seems to be ignored. The stair carpet is very threadbare in places, heavily stained in others and probably just needs replacing. The elevators are very slow and a 5 minute wait is not unusual (hence the excessive wear on the stair carpet, and the reason we got to see it, I would guess) The prestige programme where you pay a 35 euro per person per day additional charge to access additional benefits is quite badly implemented. We chose not to pay, and were happy with the choice, but in some places there is very little separation between those who do and don’t pay and it felt a little bit like ‘here is what you could have had’. Particularly at breakfast where the only ‘benefit’ was a seat in the window area, but there was a screen type structure which split the room and only permitted seating in the interior for the non-payers. Everybody accesses the same buffet area. For such a minor thing, consider getting rid of this as it just felt more like a punishment for the have-nots, rather than a benefit for the haves. This was really minor but we have stayed in hotels all over the place where similar schemes exist (and rightly so, the hotel needs to make money, so no problem) but never once did it feel so completely in your face. However, Overall, a really lovely stay, the negatives did not impact our enjoyment, but in the spirit of a fair and balanced review, were definitely worthy of a mention.

Good morning. As every year, we spent our holidays in Tenerife. We have chosen the Sabila hotel again. We would like to thank the management of the hotel for the high level of services provided. Special mention should be made of Mrs. Violetta, a person of high personal culture, who always took care of our good mood during meals. Violetta was very devoted to her work. Our meals were additionally diversified by two waiters, Daniel (he is always smiling) and Manuelito with a great sense of humor :). A positive complement to our stay was Rossi's who put a lot of attention to our room. We hope to see you in November. We recommend Sabil.
