We stayed here, on half board, for 7 nights and from check-in to departure, this hotel delivered in every department. The design interior design is very-much high-gloss white with lots of glass too so any dirt or stains show up but, for the entire week, the hotel looked immaculate. Check-in was very welcoming and thorough. The room was nicely furnished (although some extra drawer/storage space would be better) and had fabulous coast and sea views (sixth floor). Although there is no kettle in the room, there are water purifier/dispensers on the landings, and chilled, ambient and very hot (boiling) water is available 24 hours a day so you can make your own tea/cofffee very easily. The breakfast and dinner buffets were first class. All items were regularly replenished and kept perfectly clean and tidy. Breakfast omelettes and fired eggs are cooked to order, as are several meat and fish options at dinner (in addition to those already on the buffet). Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The hotel is about 2 miles from Lagos itself (which helps the tranquil feel) but is on the beachfront with easy walking access to the beach itself and the local train station). There is a selection of beach bars/restaurants nearby. The hotel staff were outstanding throughout, attentive when needed, but not intrusive and consistently friendly and welcoming. A credit to the hotel. We would readily stay here again (and would have booked again for January 2023, but the hotel closes until March). Definitely recommended.

This is not a 5 star hotel. It’s a good hotel but I would rate it a 4 star. The food situation is very very poor: For All Inclusive there was no food available for my 3 children for 3 1/2 hours everyday- if you want your children to eat then you have to argue with someone every time. The snack bar stops serving food at 15:30 and dinner in the restaurant begins at 19:00. This is completely unacceptable for children. I confronted the manager about this but she obviously doesn’t have children as she showed no sympathy nor understanding. Furthermore, young children often go to bed around 19:00/20:00 so to begin dinner at this time is mind boggling. No understanding of children’s requirements to eat has been taken into consideration when organising the times. The basic rule of business when working with children is “make children happy, the parents will be happy”. This hotel made my children hungry and me angry. There is no mention of the food times at the point of booking and no mention that they will change the opening hours of the restaurants during the stay. However, from the 1st November, they clearly changed the times and this was confirmed by some staff members. The management denied this which means they are accusing their staff of lying! This is unprofessional and the only ones lying are management. Entertainment: Entertainment is noisy, poor quality and will disrupt your sleep. The entertainment begins at 21:30. On Friday afternoon, my children were looking forward to the magic show until we found out it begins at 21:30 and lasts until 23:00. To make my 3 year old stay up that late would result in a great deal of screaming and tantrums. Again, there is no logic here and no thought of children’s needs. What’s more, the hotel has not been sound proofed and it has been poorly designed. This is evident as the sound travels and echos through the hotel! It is impossible to sleep during the entertainment so don’t expect to get any rest during your stay in this hotel! Bathrooms: In our room (with the pool on the balcony), it has an open bathroom. This is OK because it was advertised this way. However, there is no individual light for the toilet. This means that every time somebody goes to the toilet during the night, they have to light up the whole room, waking everybody up! I complained about this and eventually for a temporary battery powered lap arises to the door (see photo). There is kinky one door for the toilet and shower. This means that if someone is having a shower, another person must go to the toilet in full view of everyone else. I’m not sure what the reason of this is. Some sick perverted fantasy from the management perhaps? Staff: The staff are friendly and the service they offer is good. Service in the restaurants and bars is prompt and friendly. Management: Not a clue. They don’t know how to satisfy guests and seem to be ok when guests are upset and not at all bothered that they won’t come back! When I find a good hotel, I like to visit again and again but unfortunately, the management of this hotel have convinced me not to return. They offered no compensation for the food issue and even shrugged me off by saying “you’re not the only guest here”. The management ought to feel privileged they have such great staff. I feel sorry for the staff that they have to work for such cowboys. Don’t stay here.

We’ve just returned from a fantastic weeks stay at the Iberostar in Lagos. We were traveling with our 9 month old baby so were slightly nervous if it would cater for our needs, but it was more than we could have hoped! The hotel itself is stunning, really beautiful inside and exceptionally clean. Our room was brilliant. Part of it was carpeted which was great for our crawling little boy, and the bathroom was lovely. The rooms were always well cleaned and the staff were so accommodating navigating around all our baby toys, baby bottle making bits! The pools (indoor and outdoor) are lovely, our little boy had the best time in them and the gym was great for my husband as it was 24 hour! The facilities at the hotel are great. What makes this hotel stand out though is the food and the staff. The food is exceptional, not only is it all presented beautifully but there is so much choice. Our son is lactose intolerant and there was even oat, almond and soy porridge at breakfast. And I can speak highly enough about the staff, all are so lovely and they were fantastic with our little boy. Always chatting to him and keeping him entertained. One evening our son just didn’t want to be in the restaurant and they let us take food back to our room on trays, something that was really really appreciated. The minibus into Lagos is a great service, but there’s also a little train that stops near the hotel too which can also take you into the town. The only downside is it takes a few days to work out how to get around the hotel! But once you’ve mastered it you feel a sense of achievement haha! I can’t recommend this hotel enough and we will most definitely be returning. Thank you for a fantastic stay.
