The good: - Beautiful property and impeccably maintained - Friendly staff that go out of their way to accommodate requests even at restaurants. Our picky eater was accommodated at every restaurant. A special shout out to Jaime at Shutters and Julio at Waves Steak House who were absolutely amazing. - Good non-motorized water activities - Nice rooms with large balconies Needs improvement: - Pool water temperature in both pools too cold. Everyone we met said the same thing. Needs to come up a couple of degrees. - Better enforcement of club level service and cabana rentals. Nobody was verifying guest status in the club level pool area. We also saw someone sitting in a non-reserved cabana for over an hour without being asked to pay for it or go to a lounger. After paying good money for our cabana, that didn't sit well with us. Wristbands would be a very good idea at this resort. - Better location of smoking areas and enforcement of smoking policy. One of the smoking areas is right next to the club level cabanas and we were sitting in that smell a lot during the day. We also saw many people smoking e-cigarettes at restaurants and cigars outside of the smoking areas. The smell of cigars at the resort became one of our most memorable aspects of our trip unfortunately. - Regularly smelled raw sewage from the hallway (which is open air) behind the hotel. Enough said. - Please get some better coffee. We couldn't get a "normal" coffee anywhere. Everything was either espresso or mud in a cup needing a ton of milk to lighten it up. Summary: - All in all, a very nice resort and we would consider going back although I think Zilara in Jamaica is a little better.

The hotel was amazing, good service, enjoyed the water park, silent disco, great food and much more. All around enjoyable experience. Diomedes and Arturo were my favorite employees that helped me with whatever I needed.

Amazing staff, great food, great vibes We loved our stay at Zilara, Amado was a great insutrctor for archery and beach volleyball. The food was great and everyone was so welcoming. We also enjoyed pool spin class Jean. Cocktails were delicious and we will be sure to come back next year. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a relaxing trip to the Caribbean. Better than all the hotels we have been in the area.
