When we arrived check in was very good and quick and reception staff was really friendly. The room was clean, the bathroom was small but ok. The room was so cold and the heating didn’t work we was freezing the whole stay. The hotel is clean but could do with a little updating in the corridors. Breakfast was really busy people was having to wait because the rooms wasn’t big enough for how many guest they had staying. The staff was lovely and helpful. We had a late flight home and the hotel didn’t offer anything like keeping our room on or a room to have a shower which is a bit poor when a full day in Venice it would have been nice to have a freshen up. Location of this hotel is really good in the centre.

First the good stuff. Excellent location, very central and just off Rialto bridge and within steps of vaporetto and alilaguna stops. All staff were so helpful and friendly. One lady in the breakfast room in particular was lovely and all the ladies who serviced the rooms were friendly. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good, only a small selection but something for everyone and all very good quality. Breakfast room was pretty small so did get a little crowded. Bedroom was a good size and shower room good enough. The room was very traditional and charming. Nice comfortable big bed. Now for the small issues. Just one fairly thin pillow per person (sure we could have asked for more just not that worried). Wi-Fi was pretty bad, maybe we were just a long way from the router but 3G was actually better - again just a small problem. And lastly there was a constant low electric type humming noise the whole time, just like a motor or something was running in the next room, just a little annoying when trying to sleep. All in all a great hotel, just not quite 5 stars from me.

This hotel sits facing the world Famous Rialto bridge. The decor reflects its location and the city its in. Yes it is a bit tried in places but that does not detract from its location, the high standard of service, size of room .Breakfats was more than adequate with options to suit everyone. We booked a canal view room (301). You could sit in the window and be fully entertained by the comings a goings. Not noisey at night but by 9am the place was buzzing. The bathroom was large and well stocked. And there are plenty restaurants near by to suit all pockets. It only a short walk to Saint Marks Square in one direction, and a little bit further in the other to Piazzale Roma where the buses from San Marco Airport arrive, which is also very close to the main railway station. From the airport you can also get a public water taxi that drops you very close to the hotel. This hotel would have got 5 stars if it had tea and coffee making facilties in the room. Other minor issue is that they tell you not to use your own hairdryer in the room, but they do supply one in the bathroom. All in all a very good hotel that I would be happy to recomend and visit again.
