Hotel Nixe Palace

This is a beautiful hotel, we enjoyed a lovely few days. We had a premium sea view room which was great. I don’t think I would want to stay in a room without a sea view, it’s so spectacular. We had a smallish balcony with chairs and table, where it was lovely to sit out looking at the sea. Our room was lovely, the bed comfortable and the bathroom smart and modern, with robes and slippers. No kettle in the room to make a cup of tea, although when I put this in feedback to the hotel I was told that I could ask for a kettle in future. There is a small coffee machine. Staff everywhere were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. We ate in Bistro 269, sitting outside, very enjoyable, the food and service both excellent. We also ate in the A Popa restaurant, food and service again very good, although I think I preferred the Bistro. The cold breakfast buffet was very high quality, you could also order various egg dishes. I do prefer a full buffet breakfast but that’s just personal choice. There is a smallish outdoor pool, next to a lovely pool bar. Not enough sun beds next to the pool at busy times, but the hotel has the same sun bed problem as every other hotel, people reserving sun beds early then leaving them for hours. The hotel is in a resort which is not very smart, although there is a wide range of eating places nearby. Not too far from Palma, I think you could walk it in about half an hour, but we didn’t as it was too hot. The normal taxi (not pre booked car) cost about 38 euros from the airport to the hotel.

Gorgeous views, amicable staff, amazing breakfast buffet, housekeeping lady’s are a dream, they keep the rooms and property impecable! Make sure you book yourself a Spa service, I had 2 body massages and 1 extremely amazing facial, I can not tell you how glowing my face was after that, people actually commented on my skin all day ! I give this hotel 10/10 ! If you want to relax and enjoy the beach, this is the spot for it. There is also plenty to do around de hotel within walking distance. This place is a real Gem.

A little mixed. The positives: • Beautiful views and a beautiful setting at the rear of the hotel. The views are to die for. • The vibe feels like a 5 star. • Very comfy beds. • Breakfast, beautiful The negatives: • Nowhere near enough sun beds. A relatively tiny pool with severely limited sunbed space. By far the biggest negative. They say you can just use the beach but the beach is public and also very crowded. And why should you use the beach when you pay quite a high price for a 5* hotel. • Cleaning is not a great standard. • The surrounding area is pretty rough. Full of either kebab shops, massage parlours or cheap tatty shops. The area doesn't suit the hotel. • It was incredibly noisy at night. People drinking and arguing was not what we expected to hear. This was a tough 3/5. I almost gave a 4/5 because the views are so beautiful but there were quite a few negatives I'd only stay here again if we got a really good deal. I don't think it was worth the money we paid.
